jolie, when did you call gwu? i interviewed on 9/13 and i saw that someone on here who interviewed with me got the acceptance email already (as did phoenix, who interviewed the following day). i called gwu to ask if a decision has been rendered on my application yet and they said their system was down for maintenance or something (this was about an hour ago). they said it should be fixed soon so think i'll try calling back in a little while to see if it's back up. what exactly did they say to you? ps. congrats on vcu 🙂

Elfish, I just called so I think that the system is back up and running again. I also interviewed on one of the first interview days and the woman I spoke with said that correspondence was sent to me on October 12th, so I should be recieving it soon. I am taking this as a bad sign. On the other hand, during my interview, I distinctly remember them saying MULTIPLE times that all information regarding decisions will ONLY be mailed through snail mail and not email, which is why I was surprised to see people have been getting email notifications.

Does anyone know if Georgetown, UMass Worcester, or SUNY downstate has sent anything out yet??? I'm mad worried but at the same time it doesn't look like anyone else has heard anything. Ugh I just wanna know 🙂

let's hope that Gtown believed me.

My interviewer there particularly asked why gtown when I have Texas. I explained the whole situation with my husband and then said that I was considering an HPSP scholarship with the Air Force.

He seemed impressed and hopefully bought it. Though, I really did like the school.

they said the same thing to me, though didn't give the exact date. on their website, they say mail only as well. i called about an hour and a half ago.
 
yikes, so that must mean mail is on its way to me too! interview mid sept. wow, this is nerveracking.

Quote someone, remove the quotes, then add the school, date, and how you were contacted. Oh, and try to keep it in alphabetical order too.

AAMC released my MCAT score 6 weeks late (the day before 1st year classes began), so I am a deferred linkage student. MCAT Date: 5/31/07, Score Release: 8/6/07 If they had released my scores when they released almost everyone elses, I would be in med school this year! I'm too excited about my acceptance, though, to be that upset 🙂

The title of the thread led me to type "Class of 2008" insted of "Class of 2012" when I wrote a message to someone (just because 2008 comes before 2012in the thread title). It would be pretty awesome to have just been admitted into an MD granting degree program that would allow me to graduate within the next year (it's extremely accelerated: One semester of basic science and one semester of clinical rotations, with an automatic residency placement at the end!). Since such a program doesn't exist, I'm pretty psyched w/ Class of 2012 🙂

AHHH I interviewed with you! As did another person on this forum, I believe she got in already, she has mdapps. I called and they said that something was mailed to me last week and that I should be receiving it soon. I am terrified, because I know that they aren't allowed to tell you you got in until the 15th, and if they sent something last week that means it must not say that I got in, but rather that I am rejected...:scared::scared:😱

I could be totally wrong, but I think rejecting and deciding not to accept are the same thing.

I really hope I'm wrong about that and that you can still get in. Congrats on Up-state though.
