Congrats! Was that pre- or post-secondary? I've already submitted like 19 secondaries, and I'm complete at 3. No interview invites, though. I suspect I will be waiting a while. 🙁 When is your interview?

Yeah I've gotten a Pitt interview as well! Good luck to you man! And a general question: has anyone verified by AMCAS more than two weeks ago not gotten a Tufts secondary yet? I'm getting worried 🙂
lol classes haven't even started and people are scheduling interviews. I suppose in a few years you'll have to apply to medical school after your first semester of undergrad...

I actually applied when I was an infant. You guys are way behind. I haven't picked a day for my interview, but basically all of Sept/Oct are offered. Its great, choices!
I have 37 MCAT - prob. helped. I know they didn't have my letters of rec before they sent me an invite. It was basically 8 hours after I submitted the secondary. I guess they based it only on the primary?

screw the automatic interview. i would give you an automatic acceptance. those are crazy stats. 👍
As a note, I think I got what's considered an auto-interview (almost immediately after submitting my secondary), and I have a 37, 3.55. So I don't know how this cut-off idea works, because my GPA is definitely not that impressive, regardless of the school I went to. And I'm out of state too. Maybe this process isn't as simplified as people think...

me too. i just submitted my amcas app. the other day. i guess those of us who waited a bit to take the MCAT are feeling the backlash from that now. haha. Although I did receive two secondaries already and my AMCAS hasn't even been verified...Penn State and GW must send secondaries to everyone.

anyone know what the cutoffs are for auto invite from upitt?
my stats aren't high at all. so maybe it's more than numbers for the auto-invites.
Did pritzker email the invite or was it a letter or did it appear on the status page?

I got my invite through e-mail. However, the e-mail saying your file is complete actually says they will notify you by snail mail of their decision (reject, interview, hold onto your app and wait for others to come in.)
In response to the question about when my file was complete, I got an e-mail yesterday notifying me of that. I suppose this early in the application season, they have a ridiculously fast turnaround on interview invite decisions.
My theory, based on how long it took to get that secondary (7/11 last year) compared with others I had, is that they do a brief preliminary screen of your entire AMCAS before sending out the secondary to decide on the auto-interview. I have no evidence to back it up that idea though.

Based on my numbers - I can pretty much guarantee they review all of AMCAS, not just GPA or MCAT. I just got an interview pre-secondary, without letters of rec. I <3 U Pitt.
