HOLY ______! Just got my first interview invite - to George Washington!!! I'm so excited that my hands are shaking. I was worried after my pre-secondary rejection from Wake that there was something nasty in my personal statement that I didn't know about. Guess not! WOOOO!!!

Oh, and it's sent via email, and they only interview on T, Th and Fri. No student hosts at this time. Mine is for Mid-Sept. Ok, can I say WOOOO again?

Can someone add GW for me? I'm too scatter brained to attempt it at this time. Thanks!

Thanks! G'luck to you too! GW sent me an email that I was complete on 7/12, but technically, my MCAT score didn't come out until 7/18.

IIRC, GWU has the most applications of any med school in the US (although apparently BU is close and they may swap places occasionally, i dunno) so getting an interview is a major accomplishment and you should be happy!

I don't know how many interviews they send out, but I do know that a lot of their class is filled by linkage ppl from postbac and undergrad programs, which makes getting an interview even more impressive, good job!

It's a total rush! I am at work too and I'm all yeah! I got an interview! Now I get to finish my mini-prep!...It's all good though, I'm on cloud 17...

i totally regret scheduling my Pitt interview (10/22), soooo late!!! how big a disadvantage does it put me in? i searched the MDapplicant profiles, everyone last year who got accepted seem to have interviewed in sept, what to do?????

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. The class won't be filled that early and you should be fine. If you are really worried, call them back and ask if you can get an earlier interview spot.

You already have one interview, so I wouldn't worry. If one school liked you enough to interview you, I'm sure others will as well. There's nothing you can do about schools where you've already submitted your secondaries, so I would say to relax and try to focus on what you can do: crank out some great secondary essays for the schools you're still working on. 🙂

last year, i found out about my drexel interview by going to the status website. one day i saw a link for scheduling an interview, so i scheduled one haha. i called them to make sure and they said i would be getting an email with an official invitation to interview.

so it's possible to find out via a status page before receiving an email, but i think most places will contact you also.

i totally regret scheduling my Pitt interview (10/22), soooo late!!! how big a disadvantage does it put me in? i searched the MDapplicant profiles, everyone last year who got accepted seem to have interviewed in sept, what to do?????

Dude(tte), chill, seriously. I interviewed at Pitt in February and got accepted, no waitlist. You really will be fine; they don't fill the entire class before October. 😉

My interview is on 9/11 too. Don't think of it as bad luck, think of it as doing something positive with your life and working toward being in a very good position to help people in need. It's a tribute to have an interview that day, not a curse. 🙂 Have a glass of champagne (I wish you could hear me say this because I say CHAM-POG-NUH, tee hee) take a bubble bath and relax my friend.

WTF?! I have decent stats and submitted early...to a lot of the same schools that many on here have already been invited to (e.g. Pitt, Chicago, Case) Where are MY invites?😱 What about ME? PICK ME! CHOOSE ME! Ok, that was my self-absorbed Meredity Grey moment. It's so frustrating seeing everone on here doing so well, and having to worry about whether I'll come up empty handed again this year.
