Did anyone who applied to UMASS-Boston NOT receive the email about applications being reviewed on 1/27?

I did not get the e-mail, so I called them to make sure they had my correct e-mail address, and they didn't! So they fixed it and sent me the e-mail. That e-mail should have gone to all applicants, so if you didn't get it, it's because of a technical problem. I would definitely call.

Edit: Today is the 26th, so you mean the one that went out on January 23rd, right?

OSU's interviews are being held on 1/30, when I called a week or two ago they said they had already extended all invitations. This is for the clinical area.

Did you hear from them at all then?

Just got a phone invite from the admissions office at GWU for the clinical PsyD program! Interviews are being held Feb 20, 27, and Mar 6.

This is my first post here, but I wanted to note 2 things:

1) I spoke with my POI at University of Hawaii-Manoa and the professors haven't started reviewing folders yet

2) I received an invite for a phone interview with my POI at Virginia Commonwealth University (Counseling Psych). Not sure if this is a preliminary interview before they extend in-person invites or what? But I am excited nonetheless 🙂

Rutgers: hasn't sent out any invites yet, should be sending by next week but they were delayed because there was a conflict with their original interview date. They're now looking at 2/9 or 2/13 for potential dates, but nothing is set in stone yet.

(I must seem like such a mega-nerd, but more information = less anxiety in my book. 🙂 )

I applied to UDel, but haven't heard anything, unfortunately! I'm guessing it'll still be a week or two until they send out invites, since their deadline was so late.
According to their website, the interviews are normally in mid to late February or early March.

Oh my gosh, YES!!! It's torturous having to wait another 24 hours to hear what they decided! Maybe someone will have mercy on us and decide to e-mail the invites out at the end of the day (since Chicago is central time).

I decided to email my POI and she said that she thought their assistant had already sent all the invites out, and sorry if that meant i was not accepted. 👎

It seems like I'm on the edge of my seat with the rest of you, hopefully still waiting on Loyola Chicago and DePaul.

Clearly tomorrow is a big day for those of us waiting on DePaul. However, just wanted to let you all waiting with me on Loyola Chicago... I interviewed there last year. Many of the invites went out on a Thursday (as I read on SDN). I didn't get my invitation until the following Tuesday. Though there is the possibility one of your POIs is right... It's also very possible not all invites went out at the same time.

Hang in there, everyone! We can do this!

I definitely recommend calling the schools. I received an invite today that acted like a follow-up conversation, even though I had never spoken to nor emailed anyone. When I called the DCT, he is like, "Oh yeah, when we last spoke, we agreed on Tuesday?" I had to politely tell him he never spoke to me. He got very flustered and is like, "I have it marked down that we had a phone conversation?" He then apologized profusely and seemed bewildered at the mix-up, but this goes to show you that these schools are not always on top of it!

The people at Grad Cafe seem to advise generally not to call the dept and ask.

Hmm, I've gotten 3 phone calls today from an 'unknown'/blocked number, who won't leave a message! (and of course, no answering a cell phone at work, regardless!) Sure, the overwhelming likelihood is that it's a telemarketer...but what if it's not? The paranoia goes to new levels!

^ I think they almost always leave a message as well as a follow-up email. And I haven't had any of them call from blocked numbers. Yes, there's a possibility some prof out there is the exception to the rule, but in that case, I'm sure they'll try again tomorrow. Try to take a break if it rings and is blocked tomorrow?

Got an e-mail from my POI at Ohio University today inviting me to the interview on Feb. 27th.

To clarify, that's Ohio University and not Ohio State University.

Recieved an email for an interview from Spalding University (PsyD) in Louisville...interview dates are 2/27, 3/2, or 3/6 (they ask you what day you prefer in email)

cara, I suggest that you just don't pick up when you're on Novocaine! Put the phone on silent if you think you'll be too out of it to remember not to pick up. Check your phone for missed calls and should there be a nice surprise there, get back to them with good times to talk as soon as you feel like yourself again. 🙂

I was accepted into the PGSP clinical psychology PhD program today--without an interview. I am not sure if it is appropriate to post this here or not--as it is not really interview related.

For anyone who is waiting on Univeristy of Houston, I just emailed my POI and recieved a very speedy response stating that they have net yet extended invites and will hopefully be finalizing the invites by the end of next week. ANOTHER 2 WEEKS! Their interivew date is not even finalized, most likely the last week in Feb-first week in March.

I sent an application update to UMich and USC. They both made it sound like they are still reviewing applications, but they didn't explicitly say that they were. In addition, I'm pretty sure USC usually has second, later interview date.
