I got all excited when they sent me an email! Little did I know it was really a rejection email. 🙁
 
Does anyone have more information about University of Virginia? Have all invites been extended, when is the interview, etc? This is the clinical psychology program I'm talking about.

In trying to figure out whether or not I can tell my friends they can visit, I'm trying to check the interview dates for the schools that are in limbo. I just found this on URI's website, in case you wanted to know and hadn't found it yet like me:

Selected applicants are required to attend an interview. All selected applicants will be interviewed on the same date: Monday, February 23, 2009. The interview is an opportunity for you to learn about our program as well as for us to learn about you. We have found that this is an essential part of the application process. Should special circumstances stop an applicant from attending the interview, telephone interviews may be considered.
 
I spoke to the admissions woman at UVA today (who was very friendly) and she said that they are nowhere near finished sending out interview invites. She said that they are still reviewing applications.

Can the person who got an interview to UNC Chapel hill PM me the name of his/her POI? Has anyone else heard from UNC?

Just FYI, my POI at Texas Tech said that official invites for the Clinical PhD will go out on Thursday or Friday of this week, and the interview date is 2/13.
 
has anyone heard from UMass Boston? the email from the dept asst last week said we would hear today or shortly there after! i'm pretty much convinced that i'm not going to be getting in anywhere this year, but it'd be nice to know if anyone heard so i can resign myself to my new reality :laugh:

It was wonderful of Depaul to send out that rejection email to me AND state that an official letter would be sent later.

Ahhhhhh well. 2 interviews, 1 rejection...and the world keeps spinning.

UVA's website implies that they don't even start contacting people till February 16. It specifically says, in fact, NOT to contact them (even to check if your app is complete) until then. Here's the link (look about 1/3 down the page): http://www.virginia.edu/psychology/graduate/faq.html
Yes, they kind of hide this information.

I just got a call from Yeshiva saying they are still processing applications (they had a question about one of my letters of rec)...

Did anyone get an interview invitation for DePaul's Clinical Child Track?
 
Does anyone know the contact number at Yeshiva? I checked the online application I submitted and they must have entered someone elses name with my application information!!! I have been trying to contact them for weeks and keep getting a recording.

Also, someone from Yeshiva just called me an hour ago and hung up as soon as I answered! I've been trying to call since then and again keep getting straight to voicemail.

I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm going crazy knowing that they're meeting today and that invites are going out soon!
 
So confused about DePaul. No interview nor rejection e-mail. On pins and needles here...
 
For anyone applying to SPU (Seattle Pacific University), I just talked to the admission secretary and she said they're reviewing applications now and invites should go out in the next couple of weeks. When I pressed for an actual week... she said hopefully the first week in February.

Didn't know if anyone applied there, but thought I'd share.
 
has anyone heard yet from the University of MO St. Louis?

They are my last hope for getting into grad school this year...

I did! Thanks for calling in. I was wondering about their timeline. I think (hope) I can wait until February! At least now I won't get antsy for naught.

I've received at least 2 calls from blocked numbers that ended up being from schools, but you're right: they always left messages.

I talked with the person in charge of grad admissions last Friday and I'm fairly certain the UCLA sent out all their Clinical invites on or before last Friday. Sorry. I didn't get an invite there either.

Fordham is done, sorry to tell you.
Columbia TC (I assume you applied to clinical?) said they would start sending invites the beginning of Feb, roughly. but that was 2 weeks ago, so not sure if anything's changed. no one else on here seems to have heard from them.

I just checked the Auburn website and saw that is has been updated to say this:

"We are currently reviewing applications and expect to contact those to be invited for an interview by the end of January. We will conduct interviews on February 28, 2009."

So we have until the end of the week!
 
Hey, Just wanted to let everyone know that interviews are scheduled March 6th and 7th at the following clinical programs:

Pacific University (Oregon)
Washington State
Idaho State

To my knowledge no invites have gone out yet. But I contacted the grad secretaries and they shared the info on the tentative dates. Looks like that first weekend in March is a popular one!
 
Not sure if anyone applied to Regent University Psy.D. program...but I got an email invitation to interview 2/20.

Are programs generally accommodating if you have 2 interviews in one weekend or no?

Just got an email from the department secretary that said:

"I began making calls to extend invitation to interview for some of our Areas of Interest today
and will complete call by the middle of next week.

The Graduate School online website where the application was completed will contain a letter to
those that we were unable to invite within a week.

Best to you"

I've been wondering about that too. I looked yesterday and someone said they were accepted to University of Utah's developmental psych program by phone on Jan 16th. Yet, I know that they're just now starting to go over the clinical apps so it would be strange if part of their department has already made offers. The whole thing was a little weird. I check gradcafe, but I wouldn't trust it 100%. 😉
 
Hey..I'm still waiting for UNC too. Has anyone else heard?

I got an email for an interview at Lehigh Counseling. Yay...interviews are on Feb 20.

I have a questions. I am supposed to be presenting at Teacher's College Winter Roundtable on that day. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this situation?
 
Does anyone know if all invites for SUNY Buffalo (Clinical PhD) have been sent out? I have tried contacting the admissions office, but have had no luck.

The admission committee was meeting today to discuss offers. I assume this means that all interviews have been conducted.

Did they happen to call from an unavailable number? I knew they were doing some calls today and I missed a call from an unavailable number and I freaked out. But there was no voicemail. I'm just hoping its them and they'll call back tomorrow
