Ole Miss
call from DCT 2/29
Interview 2/27-2/28

I'm pretty sure someone already posted this, but I'm so excited I just had to put it up here! 😀

I got an email 1/29 for an interview to Fuller's Clinical PsyD program. Interview dates are either 2/13 or 2/27. It's my first invite! Woo hoo!!

I was invited via voicemail and email today 1/30 for an interview on 2/16. Unfortunately that conflicts with another one of my interviews (which I just made flight plans for last night argghh). Hopefully they will let me do it another day!

I was finally accepting the fact that I wasn't getting any invites this time around...

... but I just received an email from a graduate admissions admin for UVA's Curry School interview on either Feb. 13th or 20th.

Huzzah! 😀

Phone call invite from New York University Counseling Ph.D. Interview Feb. 13.

I know this topic has been covered, but I need some reassurance! Do you think asking for another interview date and going to interview on a day other than 'interview day' decreases your chances at all? Ahhhrrrggg

I got that too!! Congrats!! Maybe I'll see you there!! 😀

Just got a phone call from my POI at Binghamton University. I missed it, but she said she wanted to "discuss my application." I returned her call but she was on the phone. I don't have an interview (yet, I hope), but if anyone is wondering where they are.. they are starting to call people that they "are interested" in. I'll fill you in when I hear back.

Anyone else heard from Rutgers yet? Or has anyone verified that today is, in fact, the last day for interview invites??

😀Looks like my previous phone interview with University of Memphis went well! I will be attending an in-person interview on Feb 27th😀

I might...I need to know whether to get ready to binge eat my sorrows away or start preparing for an interview 🙂 Has anyone called today?

still haven't heard anything. are you planning on calling up?

hey all! just got an email from a POI at Utah inviting me for a phone interview pre-official interview which will be on February 20.

I am waiting on Rutgers too! I cant stand this. For anyone who did not see my previous post about Rutgers, I was told about a week ago by the grad coordinator that they received a drastically larger number of applicants and their funding has been cut so they are not accepting as many students. I know this is NOT GOOD NEWS but we should all be prepared.

I just got off the phone with the admissions person at St. John's... she said my application was sent to the committee on January 28th and she wasn't sure about when they would be extending invitations but she didn't think it would be before February 10th... :xf::xf::xf:

Has anyone else gotten an invite from The University of Vermont? Are they still sending out invites?

Some people on here have mentioned contacting the department or theri POI to ask if there are any more interview invites being sent out or if it's all finished....What exactly do you say?

I really felt good about getting an interview at UMSL b/c of my scores would definitely be competitive given their averages and my interests were highly matched with my POI----I'm just wondering if there is any reason to believe yesterday's apparent mass mailing may not be over (sigh), and what to say if I want t find out.

I got an invite there a while ago... I really have no idea if they're done or not but my invite was given to me on 1/21. You could give them a call if you haven't heard either way? Good luck!

I would say "I have a friend who just received an invitation to interview and I was curious if all of the invitations have already been extended as I am very excited about your program" or something like that. It's a little awkward but really not a big deal and most of the secretaries are really nice.

Interviews are typically in the first week of March and offers are usually sent out in the middle of February.

I talked to the graduate admission secretary at Wayne State. They are still reviewing applications and will contact the first round of applicants in the next two weeks, possibly by the end of next week.

There have been some acceptances so far, but mostly (only, as far as I know) from programs that don't require an interview (and none for me!).

The real question is which of us is going to break down and call Rutgers and ask if it's all over.

Anyone heard from Boston University today?

An email with the details of the interview day was sent out this afternoon. (I got a call for an interview by the DCT last week). I called the clinical coordinator this afternoon with a question ane she asked if i'd gotten the email because it should have gone out to everyone they were planning to invite.

My first interview! Omg I really did not think things were looking good for me; but I got one from USUHS PhD Clinical Psych today. So for those you who lost hope....keep hope alive!

well i guess it's over then. *dun dun dun another one bites the dust!* 😎

Hey... Just spoke with someone at University of Texas at Austin, and she said that they are not yet done sending out invites. Apparently, the poi's handle all of their own invites, so the remaining invites should be going out in the next two weeks. To those who HAVE heard back, if you could provide any information (like how you heard, when you heard, and if you felt at all comfortable-and I totally understand if you don't- the name of your POI, just so I know if my person is already done with their invites), I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks~

Oh, and spoke with someone at Florida. Apparently they are still sending out invites. Good luck!

Hey Guys, I've been watching this thread for a while now, and my nerves have finally compelled me to post. Has anyone phone interviewed at Alabama? I did last Monday, and expected to hear from them by now, seeing as how the interview is in two weeks! Do you think I could email my PoI and ask him if they have made invites yet?

If I do call, I'm going to claim to be you, just to mess with your head.

But I'm not likely to call, so there's that.

I called Rutgers (PhD) a few hour ago and they said they are done giving out invites...

Do you know when their interview dates are?

She said that the weird thing about the program is that there are no set interview dates. Apparently, everyone kind of conducts them at their own leisure. So I guess that means that a particular poi goes through all of his/her applications, decides on a few applicants, and then just has them come up whenever he/she is done going through all the applications. That's why I want to know who has actually heard from UT so far.

I got a call on Wed from my POI inviting me to the interview weekend (child clinical) after a short conversation about research interests. I got an email from the grad secretary on Thursday with details about the weekend. I think its deffinetly worth it to call the grad secretary and see whats up. Not so sure about emailing your POI.

So Rutgers is out for me but I am happy that UT is not! I had already crossed it off my list. Austin is by far my favorite city in the US.

I hesitate to even say this, but Rutgers is really only mostly out. They told me when I called that they are done with this round of interviews and, if these interviews go well, that will be it. If they don't, they would consider doing another round.

Really, I kind of think I would rather they were just done done.

That being said, Austin is WAY BETTER than New Brunswick.

Did anyone else hear from Utah??????? Seriously, this is killing me.....

Hi there, I was wondering if there's others out there in the same boat as me who have interviews (for PsyD) at Xavier on 2/20 and U. Indianapolis on 2/20 and 2/21. Does anyone know if the first day of the Indianapolis interview ismandatory, and is it a full day?? I haven't received the info packet about the schedule in the mail yet and am getting anxious to figure out how I should arrange my travel....any info on the matter would be much appreciated!

OK, so I obsessively made some phone calls (I'm not applying, but my husband is, and I check these forums way more than him). Figured I'd share what I found out. All of these are for clinical phd programs:

Harvard - if you don't hear by end of next week, not going to get interview

WashU - done giving out interviews

Winsconsin - no formal interview day, visit arranged by POI before end of March

Minnesota - just said they weren't done yet

Berkeley- done giving out invites

UI-Chicago - will finish giving out invites end of next week (2/6)

Hope this info is helpful to people...

GW clinical psyd invite today via voicemail. Interviews 2/20, 3/6, and 3/7.
