it's about an hour and a half drive from AUS to Scott and White. It's best to rent a car since a roundtrip shuttle could cost you $75 or more.
 
Did anyone get confirmations for interview dates for Scott & White and University of Minnesota?

r u serious? what kind of person doesn't have a driving license? you can take the shuttle to downtown Austin then take the train to Temple, TX then catch a bus to Scott and White.

I never had one when I used to live in NYC! Am sure there are many more out there like us😀
 
Like how some programs send out a generic email to all applicants informing them when to expect to receive the status of your application🙂 They are organized, UW being one of them.

maybe. they probably are used to receiving thousand of applications and didn't want anyone to call & bother them about the status😀

That's why I said organized😀 I doubt they get 1000s of apps, prolly more like around 800 per my sources.
 
Nondirect flights are about 400-500.. direct 1000. Umm yikes. I checked all the dates and its similar

😱you should ask if they'd do your interview over the phone due to a schedule of conflict and see what they say.:idea:

That's even more insane. It should border on free to fly from JFK to MSP.

Check again (always check on Tuesdays BTW, that's when most airlines change their prices). I just checked a random Thurs --> Sat in Sept (as an example...no idea if that's actually useful) and it was <$350 for non-stops.
 
finally got a DOI for my paper. should I email PDs to update them of this information? I can already see GutOnc saying "no". 😍

i didn't get one at either places.. but i'm definitely counting my blessing that at least I got one.. You just don't know how competitive it is nowadays to get into Hem/Onc

Hey there! I think it's just so early in the process. I am surprised that programs started reviewing so soon. This is like a marathon and we just have to stay patient through it.

Yeah maybe we will run into each other ! Its 309-400 when I checked even for the earlier dates-- did you check both kayak and southwest sites? I am not sure if jetblue goes there!

is it safe to say that they review them in alphabetical order? or the order that they were uploaded into ERAS? anyone? Gutonc?

how did you find 58 programs that accept H1 visa? I thought there are only a handful of them do.. It's definitely not you.. since you're highly qualified. It's the system buddy!! if I was you.. I would find someone to get married.. just so you can get inside the system... and it's definitely not getting any easier especially when there aren't enough spots for AMG.
