I have cancelled 4 thus far.
Greed has nothing to it. Its competition. Unfortunately, its the nature of competitive fields. The match is done once, no one will risk not matching. its tough, but I wouldn't call it greed, and would find it insulting to call it as such.

I am going to 15-17 interviews due to financial reasons. If I had the means to go to all of them, I certainly would.

gotta agree with adagio, though i see both sides. 15-17 is certainly, for ME, the upper limit of what I could reasonably do at this time of year (between resident workload, time, money, etc) but, if you are concerned about matching I can see wanting to go on every one you get. on the other hand, if you have some "throw-away" programs on your list, those could be a lifeline for someone. all comes down to personal comfort! i'm certainly thankful for every interview i have, precious few they are comparatively, but I've no right to complain considering others have 0-1.

also agree, 8 is the "magic number" it seems...double digits is overwhelmingly positive when looking at match stats.
