Thanks! I'm still waiting to hear back from many other schools but having at least 1 interview offer so far is encouraging and a step in the right direction 🙂

But in all seriousness, my lower div BCP was fine, around 3.4-ish but I took lots of thermochem, physical chem, inorganic chem, biochem, and physical biochem (wtf) and got like straight B-'s on them, mostly because half my classmates were retaking the class and the grade distribution was more bimodal than a bactrian camel's hump. I got very few C's but my major was pretty damn rigorous TBH. I had no idea that ALL my non-engineering and earth sciences would be included as my BCP, but then again, that's it's called biology-chemistry-physics lol

Submitted my AADSAS like June 7, but I sent my UMinn secondary around early-mid July (I think the 10th but I forget exactly)

Haha I'm the opposite. I got pretty much straight A and A-'s in all my Chem classes, including physical chem (quantum + thermo) and inorganic chem. But my Bio/Anatomy/Physiology grades are horrendous, I don't think I've ever got anything above a B in those courses. Guess I'll have a tough time in d-school...

Yes, AirBnb is always safe. Now, that depends on how you use it. Always book places with good reviews (treat it as a product). Don't book places with no reviews or with bad reviews.

A review of 4 stars and above is considered good, right? Sorry if this is off-topic, but it will be my first time using AirBnB so I'm a bit nervous. It doesn't help that I am going to Detroit...

4+ stars is good, but it depends on the # of reviews. If a person has 4 stars with 3 reviews, it's not so good. But 4 stars with 50 reviews, then it's good.

You can read the people's reviews at the bottom of the listing to see what they liked/didn't like.

When are you going to be in Detroit?? I'm a little nervous about going there and getting to the school alone too. I'd stay in Birmingham it's really nice but then the problem is getting to the school. It's in a rough part of town.

Just make sure your a defensive driver because it is common for driver's to run stop signs, run red lights, drive like an idiot, etc. That is primarily just at night though. Just give yourself enough time because there tends to be heavy traffic in the morning. Also, the actual school itself is pretty isolated and they have their own public safety department on patrol at all times I believe.

So I received an interview invite from Buffalo this past Thursday, and then received a "continuing review" email today that sounds a lot like a wait list message... So which is it?

What schools interview students/offer interviews having received their unofficial DAT scores? Based on anyone's own experience, someone you know, or what is commonly known. I thought Midwestern would offer me an interview because they added my unofficial score to my file, but haven't heard back for an interview. Most likely my scores will be uploaded in a week or 2, but until then, will I hear crickets chirping? 🙁
