Yeah those are correct. I was super surprised too, it really seemed way too fast. UDM was one of the last ones that I completed the supplemental requirements for, and its not like my stats are out of this world.

Hey, I saw you got a interview at UAB and you are OOS. Are you currently a student at an Alabama school? I haven't heard of any other ppl getting OOS interviews at UAB yet.

I am going into my senior year at the University of Alabama, so that could definitely be it. I am also very involved with our Pre-Dental Society, so I know the UAB Dean of Admissions (Dr. Filler) pretty well, so that may have played a factor, as well.

Awesome! UAB is one of my top picks. If you dont mind me asking, when did you receive/send out your supplemental? Cause they sent me mine in the mail on Saturday, and I filled it out and mailed it back today. Just curious as to what the turn around time might be? Thanks!

I sent my supplemental in the mail on Wednesday, and received the call on the next Monday. Very fast turnaround.

Thanks!! I received the supplemental last Saturday and submitted it on Sunday. Then I got the 'supplemental received' email on Tuesday. My AADSAS application was verified on 6/19. However, I was missing a committee letter that was released on Wednesday. This week has been crazy! Hope this helps btw.

I'm contemplating whether or not to attend UDM interview, because I'm not so fond of Detroit city and I think the location plays a big role especially if you're staying in the area to practice. I know there's no guarantee, but Do yall think I would be better off not attending the interview and save money for flight & hotel, or should I still go in case things don't work out?

If you don’t feel like you’d be comfortable living there and feel pretty solid about those other two schools then I probably wouldn’t waste your time or their time.

Haha no no! My undergrad sends a committee letter and the first day to request that they send it to AADSAS was 7/19 so the rest of my application was done and ready for review and once the letter was sent my application was sent to the admission committee! I think the pre-health advisor at my school said that the schools waiting for the committee letter review the application as soon as they can after the letter is sent (since I sent in all of my materials in June).

I would probably say the amount of shadowing/work/volunteer and community service hours i have is what made me stand out. I have dedicated my life to dentistry from a young age so that is probably what really helped. Also I have an upward trend on GPA
