Many people work as hard as you and don't get 260+. I went through UWorld X2 with >85% right both times, Kaplan qbank x2, Rx X1. I didn't go out on weekends, I gave up my hobbies, studied in the summer, I woke up at 5am all of 2nd yr to pre-study for Step, I lost friendships because I was spending my time studying, ended relationships, etc. I did nothing but study and go to class and the gym. I made some stupid mistakes on my test and when you are above 245, each question wrong drops you by many points. I did not get 260.
A good friend of mine parties on weekdays and weekends, partied weekly during dedicated, had a week less of dedicated than me so he can vacation, continues to party/go on vacation during our MS3 medicine rotation (don't know how he does it when we only get 1 day off a week), and he got 262 (I saw his score report). His roommate parties as well (though he keeps it to 2 nights per week) and he got 255+. I have over a dozen friends who go out every weekend and barely study on weekends who were 250+.
My score is not because I didn't work hard enough- there are so many other factors going into it.
