Sounds like we're all in that UWorld slump together lol. I was riding high after better than expected practice test scores and consecutive 80%+ UWorld blocks and the past two days have been consecutive 50-55% blocks. I feel like I'm getting dumber.

haha I got a few weeks worth of 70+% and was like “ok I think my floor is at least 70% which I’m happy with considering where I’m at” and then multiple 55% days in a row and then “I’m so screwed”

It’s the worst feeling man. I start spiraling and thinking “what if this is how poorly I do on my boards?!?!” Then I have to calm my ass down and remember I have at least 2 and a half months left and have yet to cover renal, respiratory, and neuro.

Same here! I just finished the lolnotacop deck and I feel like I get more micro questions wrong now than I did before lol

Hard training makes for easy combat.

I think the greatest advice I received is this, "How can you expect to learn if you are getting 80-90% on all questions? The greatest and most exciting learning is realizing the things you don't know and are able to fix." Thus a 50% is an amazing chance to learn a bunch of concepts you did not know before. Q banks are not about being perfect, they are about learning.

Same with the percentage drops here too, but on Rx as I haven't started UWorld yet (waiting till I'm 2 months out). Had my highest block of 40 ever at 90% correct, 65% the next day. It hurts lol.

Honestly though I think the fact that we're complaining about getting 60% is a good sign! Zanki has really paid off for us

FREEEEEEEEDOM. (Jk real freedom will be when I never have to study these cards again, but this is close)

I present to you: Zanki Step, Zanki Pharm, Lolnotacop, and TurnUp2OMT all completed.

How much anki cards do you guys do in a hour? Doing 1700 a day ontop of 2 sets of UWORLD and I'm slowly getting ground into think dust. Wondering if I should try to do anki faster and make my % correct drop below 80% or just stick it out?

On the bottom of my Anki it says today I studied 1670 in 142 minutes, but it really takes me a lot longer to get through.

If they’re new cards, it takes me significantly longer, like an hour and a half for 200. If they’re reviews, about 600 per hour if I’m going quick, 500 if going slow.

Did anyone else get an updated scheduling permit this morning extending your eligibility period through December 31?

I didn't get anything.

Maybe those taking it in July will get it later? It doesn't seem like it's anything major, all it says is that instead of my eligibility ending on July 31 it now ends on December 31. My exam is still scheduled for June 15 at the same testing site I originally chose. I guess that's in case they have to close down the prometric centers for any extended length of time.

I'm scheduled for end of June so maybe it's just on a week-by-week basis, maybe I'll get it next week. But it makes sense! It really seems like they're pushing to re-open as soon as possible based on the wording of their statement. Fingers crossed for us all!

My exam is July 20th, but my eligibility ends August 31st which is probably why they haven't extended mine yet. Although I don't plan on taking it later than July because my first rotation block is in August.

School put out that rotations may not start on time. Which is great, because I have to move a significant distance for my rotations. It does put me in major limbo though

So its pharm, micro and biochem, straight up do you know it or nor quick answers which flashcards are great for. Then renal, cardio and lung you have to 1st be able to understand what disease they talking about and how different parts of hormones/vessels etc will change. Then there is CNS /cancer/repro stuff in which its a crapshot for me.

Which practice exam (nbme?) are you guys taking first? I’m supposed to take one next weekend and not sure which one to take.
I took 21. But now i think they released the older ones for free so I would do those. 21 was hard af and I heard the older ones are more representative of difficulty. 20 and 21 are really challenging and will destroy your confidence unnecessarily. Id do 13 or 15

Took nbme 13 yesterday for free and got ~190. Haven't started dedicated yet (2 weeks from now, for 8 weeks), haven't opened uWorld yet. Kept up on all organ systems with Zanki, but not biochem, genetics or cell bio. How do I interpret this? is this a normal place to start or below where I should be? Literally lost as what to think.

I think we all would want to start at a 240. But you will find out more from reviewing. I noticed I was getting stuff wrong not because I didn't know the science but because I didn't know what they were asking. Uworld helped me with this. After a while, u will see there are patterns and very few ways they can ask stuff.

You havent started dedicated yet and havent opened UW. Id say youre fine man. How many questions have u done u think as far as Qbanks go?

I use firecracker for the questions and to look up stuff and it says ive done 1080 on there & id say like maybe like 400-500 on Rx. Definitely didn't expect to crank out a 240 or something on my first test, but was a little shocked when I got sub 200. It seems like its the old biochem stuff that was killing me.

Dude one thing youll realize as u start to take NBMEs is that they are HARD lol those bitches are literally so much harder than the real thing from what Ive been told by many people that have taken it and even professional USMLE coaches. dont stress or worry about the score. you have time yet and now u know ur weaknesses so focus on those. From what ive been told is the real thing is most like UW with some NBME style questions sprinkled in to separate the men from the boys. UW is also a lot easier than NBMEs

Moved my exam to May 5 due to this corona virus thing. Did pretty bad on a block of Uworld 48%, stupid damn mistakes, but also felt like they gave me a very hard block. just feeling down. Anyone here have taken NBME 19? Keep strong guys!

Its Only one block man dont worry about it. My scores are all over the map on UW. Ill have a week of fire scores and then a few days of garbage scores. its all apart of the process. Have not taken 19 i only took 21 which was hard af lol

How are you all planning on integrating resource review? I want to go through Pathoma and Sketchy micro+pharm for a second time, and also do some B&B for my weaker topics (mostly anatomy/phys), but I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate that into my schedule along with UWorld.

I would only do that if you keep missing questions on a specific topic. You did all of Zanki right? That's what I did and all I'm doing each day is my reviews and then uworld. Best use of time now is uworld for sure

I plan to follow doctors in Training. Not sure what that entails, but I've heard it's a good comprehensive review.

I'm still finishing up Sketchy and Pathoma but my order right now is usually UWorld, Zanki reviews and new cards (should be finished with all three decks in about a month) then videos and 10ish Kaplan questions. Once I'm done with Zanki and through all my resources I'll likely do primarily UWorld and Zanki reviews then rewatch any videos on my weak spots and finish with about 10-20 Kaplan questions.
