So for continuing education I'm putting my CNA cert and what not but should I also include my CPR /BLS certs? I did them through the Red Cross and never ordered a card or anything so I'm not sure what to upload even if I should include them. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

This may have been asked earlier, but I've had my transcript received by AACOMAS since 5/17, but I just paid for/submitted my applications yesterday (6/6). Does AACOMAS not verify transcripts until after you've already submitted your application?

I am literally in the same boat as you. After you pay and submit, then they will verify your transcripts.

Now the question is, how long is it taking to get verified?
 
Does altering things like achievements/experiences/adding LOR's slow down the verification process???
 
Hey everyone, just a quick question. All my transcripts are verified and I have submitted my payment for each school. The status for each school on my "Check Status" tab everything is now labelled as "Payment received, Materials Received, Verifying." How long does it take for the school to change from Verifying to Verified? Is this a second verification process on my transcripts? I was under the impression AACOMAS already did this when I first submitted them. Or is this not going to change until my application is released on June 15th?
 
Quick questions:

1) if there are courses we haven't completed for the prerequisites, do we just say that we opt out for assigning a course to it, or do we have to add a future date? If so, where can we add it?

2) can we edit achievements or activities after we submit??
 
So i have all of my LOR submitted to AACOMAS (6, the max), but i just found out i might be able to get my DO supervisor to write me a LOR. I know LOR are sent to schools during secondaries but do the schools determine which LOR they get or do all of the letters get sent to them? And would there be a way so i could send my 7th LOR (DO lor) to them?
 
My AACOMAS shows 2 old and bad MCAT attempts. Yesterday I got my new MCAT score back and I'm ready to submit to all my school but AACOMAS doesn't show that score yet. Should I submit now or wait until it shows its received my newest?
 
Wow. I submitted last Friday (6/3) and am completely verified as of today. FTW.

Question: so once we're verified, does that mean our primaries are automatically sent to schools? Or do we have to do anything in order to submit primaries for eventual secondaries??

So, that is the primary. From there you will get secondary invites from the schools (someone correct me if I am wrong please).

Ah I see so verification means that primaries are already done and out.
 
Hi guys,

Quick question, should I wait until all my LOR come in? I have 2/6 in, and I am waiting for another faculty, 1 MD, and 2 DO.

I have everything else ready and went to the check out several times, but my neurotic mind is worried about being locked out of the evaluations window. I have read that you cannot edit the ones already received, but what about the pending evaluations? What if by the off chance one of the letter writers cannot submit a letter for me, will I be able to delete them and/or add a new one? I am already at 6 evaluations, so adding another is not possible.
 
How would I classify Global Studies class I took? It was Glob 1: Global history/culture/ideology. Should I label it multicultural studies?
 
UGH. So I made some sort of mistake - I didn't lable my LORs - so now on my official applications occupation etc is all blank - it just has their name.
What can I do at this point? I can edit that part of my application, and I didn't even know how to (I just had my letters sent in from interfolio). The reason I could forsee it being a problem is one of them is a DO letter, which is pretty crucial for these schools.

I believe if you put your CNA, they would know you are CPR certified. That's how I thought about it.

That's not on you, you're letter writers fill in that part.

Answer to my own question:

I just submitted, and you can edit and delete evaluations that have not been submitted yet. I think I was just being neurotic prior to submitting lol.

I have a 7th LOR and I am planning to send it through interfolio. Interfolio is a paid service though

All of my things are submitted already...I did call today and one of the workers looked at my LORs and told me they were signed with my writer's credentials...just going to let this be.
 
I submitted 6/2. Anyone who submitted around that time verified ?

Yeah, but we can't do anything about it, is my point. I emailed my letter writer asking if he can edit it to include these areas and I am waiting for a response. I have a feeling that once they submit, its done.
However, I did use him in a reference for one of my experiences that describes his title. I also told him to include the classes he taught me in the the letter.
If you have done that, you should be covered. I was worried too, but realized it's just my premed/preapplication neurotic mind.
 
So I'm about to start training people at my work and would like to add that to my AACOMAS, only problem is this came up after I was verified and I can no longer edit my initial job description. Would it help to make a new entry in AACOMAS with the name "Job Title Trainer" as well? Also, I just found out I'll be moving and transferring sites to an ER but my current entry says I'm still working there and I can't edit it. Again, make a new entry for this or no?

That sounds like a good idea, and I would do the same to add the new location of work.

Maybe add a lil blurb at the beginning:
Previously worked at ___ and transferred to ____ ER on DATE.
Continued previously mentioned tasks including: blah, blah, blah, and blah.
Started as Job Trainer since DATE with responsibilities in blah and blah. Exhibited skills in blah and blah by training new employees.
 
Sorry if this has already been answered, but for MCAT scores on AACOMAS - can we choose which scores to add to our application??
 
For those who have submitted in May and June, when do secondaries typically arrive? July, similar to AMCAS, or earlier/later?

Don't sweat it too much..I had a super fast turn around from submission to verification. DO school application runs a bit later as well I have read.

Can join me in secondary essay purgatory as soon as you submit 😉.

No, when you manually submit your MCAT scores from AAMC to AACOMAS it submits all of them.
 
LOR question!

I have 3/5 evals sent to AACOMAS and AMCAS.

I am still waiting on receiving 2 other ones from evaluators. In AMCAS you can enter them in and upload/send the letter later after I get them, from Interfolio (which is what I am doing)

How do I enter Interfolio evals for AACOMAS that haven't been sent? They recommend sending from the interfolio generated email, but if it hasn't been received it doesn't have one yet.

What to I do?

I think you have to wait until your letters are in Interfolio

Last time I spoke with someone at AACOMAS, I was told our applications and info would become available to schools June 15. So I'm not expecting any emails until then.

Finally verified 6/10. Submitted 6/5 and only one of my proposed science courses was vetoed(?) by aacomas so i'm generally happy with the result. I really wish they would count Math in the science gpa. Out of curiosity does anyone know whats the possibility of receiving a secondary by this month rather than July 1st(as many schools state on their website). I saw from last year's discussion on BCOM they were going lighting fast and giving out IIs by July
 
Can you change your experiences and such after you are verified? I want to submit my app for verification but have not fully completed and revised my experiences section
 
Are weekends considered business days for those waiting for verification?? I know they aren't normally lol but I'm not an expert on AACOMAS policy

I have two questions

1. I retook general physics and in between takes the university decided to change the course description from something like "intro to applied physics" to "general physics" the prefix and the course content is 100% the same. Will AACOMAS still accept it as a retake? Just being slightly neurotic over semantics.

2. In high school I had some AP and dual enrollment credits, the dual enrollment is at another university (easy to enter in because I was technically a "student" there) but because of this I have 2 transcripts. My question is that my AP credits show up on both transcripts, does that mean I enter it in twice? It won't affect my GPA because it only is a Pass for credit, but I am confused as to how to enter it in

You can add new experiences. Anything that is added prior to verification cannot be accessed again.

1) I would not change the course title. They specifically state several times that courses need to match exactly to your transcript. I would get a copy of your official transcript and follow it to a T, because that is what they use to verify. It could hinder your verification.

2) I cannot answer this question, sorry. I did not take AP credits. Sorry I can't help :<
