Anyone know if some schools pull from the waitlist before the April 15th "deadline", or do they pretty much all wait until then? I already know at least 1 person who has declined their acceptance at Ohio, so I wonder if they've already let Waitlister #1 know they're accepted....

I was just thinking it would suck if I got accepted by one of my "less preferred" schools and took it cuz it'd be my only guaranteed acceptance before 4/15 instead of waiting to see if I get pulled from the waitlist at Ohio... It seems highly likely I'll make it off the list, but I really don't want to assume that and be wrong!

I'm going to call and ask Ohio's admissions people tomorrow, but I was curious about other schools as well.

I was wondering the same thing Nordicat... If those that decline Ohio before 4/15, will they let those next on the waitlist know before the official acceptance date. Because I have a feeling you and I both are in VERY good places on this list haha (OSU is one of my top choices too - pretty much tied with Penn for me)

You can stay on all your waitlists, even after 4/15...so you can accept a spot at another school and if you hear from Ohio, decline that seat and accept the one at OSU.

On my interview day, one of the members of the student panel was the last person on last year's waitlist to be offered admission. I think he was #29 (I think?) and he was notified only a few weeks before classes started. So don't give up hope!

KSU Doesn't give out numbers if that is how they do it. Sorry, it is just a waiting game now. The only thing that they tell you is that you are on the waitlist and there are two lists :IS and OOS and the two aren't cross contaminated. So if you are waiting as an OOS you will only get a spot if an OOS already accepted doesn't take the spot, And the same for IS.

They had talked in previous threads about counting the number of pictures (of people) that they had on the website....and that was the number of confirmed seats at that time. I remember finding where they had the rosters for each class, but can't find it now....
