***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

No, she won't. She didn't even take the test this time, but she's taking it in August, so she can make the Aug. score release thread. 🙂

I think we'll need to create a new thread anyway, because people from next years who would want to see the score release thread wouldn't want to read the biannual discussion of when scores are coming out...

Either that or they'll give you enough Percocet (sp?) so that you hallucinate and THINK you've received your MCAT scores, when in reality you still have that "you have no scores yet" until June 20th!

Nahh, I just installed the Page Update Checker firefox extension and have it check for me. If the page changes, it will set off a sound effect that will wake the entire household!

Well, so much for the 6/11 date (which marks 50 days since testing). I know there is still a couple hours left, but I think its safe to say no to Sunday. I'm joining the camp that is betting nothing until 6/20. Hate to be pessemistic but ........ don't think the popular 12 or 13 will work out either. Would be nice to be wrong though.

Not sure what you mean. It just checks every 5 minutes for a change in the web page, after I log in of course. You can just refresh every 5 minutes forever until your login times out, which will never happen since you refresh every 5 minutes. Of course the AAMC webmasters could detect I'm refreshing so much and decide to ban my IP, but so be it.

Nahh, a refresh every 5 minutes should not be a big deal. I'm sure some people that manually refresh do it more often! 😀

I love reds too. Chianti is my favorite. I just tried Zinfindal (spelling?) for the first time last weekend and loved it as well. I tried Cabernet once and wasn't that big of a fan. I like my wine to be dry and that wasn't at all. I think that was the kind.

I've never really had white wine, but I like blushes as well. White Zinfindal is my favorite, but I really want to try some White Merlot.

If you submit AMCAS before MCAT scores.... how do you add schools afterwards? Do you have to wait until it's verified?

You don't have to wait until then. Just log in and go to medical schools and add them in.

I am with you guys. I am suffering from some sort of post traumatic stress disorder. I have about three or four projects that I have started around the house to keep my mind off the scores and all four of them are unfinished and left alone. Yet, I keep checking for the scores, check SDN every hour, dream about the damn scores. I feel like my life is moving on slow motion right now.

Why don't you all just step outside, look at the trees and sky and litter and mud puddles, and go take a really LONG walk. While you're out walking, contemplate how meaningless the MCAT will be in the grand scheme of things throughout your life.

And while you're doing that, I'll be breaking into your houses and stealing your money so I can chalk up the money to pay for my application fees.

ok so just to recap, what are peoples feelings about the june 20th release date? its the web release date or the day we get them by mail?

im so depressed by this date still. all this time i thought they were coming out this tuesday coz i misread the date when it first came out. and im going abroad on sunday! and i wont know my score the whole 17 hour plane ride there 🙁

one thing i thought about: since they posted the 20th thing, would there be folks that get uber-pissed if they come out earlier? pre-meds are after all the most insane people on earth, and not knowing when one's scores went up would seem to be the mother of all trespasses.
