In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

All right, I've got some useful news for you April MCATers. I didn't want to post that I was doing this until she got back to me, but I contacted Dr. Ellen Julian, who is the Director of MCAT for the AAMC, and she confirmed that your scores would be released online on the 20th. So you guys can stop checking obsessively this week. I don't know why some of you were told the 12th/13th, but again, Dr. Julian said the online release would be June 20th.

Thanks Q... Truth still hurts though. Well I guess we can have an official countdown again... 8 days to go!

I can stop checking from my cell phone now.

Hehe, one firm authoritative answer is enough to stomp all the guesses in this thread! Thanks, Q!

Time to focus on the World Cup.. go USA! Czech's already scored one within five minutes... :scared:

Same here, I am submitting my application on Wednesday regardless, I do not want to wait past the 15th. I can't wait to get this over with. My stomach can't take it 🙂

Quick question...if we submit our stuff now will the aamc wait until our new scores come out before they send to the schools?

Okay - MCAT dreams two nights in a row now. Hmm, I wonder if it's been on my mind a bit.

Last night's dream was better than the night before. I got a 39, but it was weird - everytime I refreshed the THx page, there was a different break down. One time I got straight 13s (nice, LOL), another time I had two 15s and a 9 in VR. It was interesting and it the dream I was getting frustrated that I didn't know what the real break down was.

So I've dreamt I got a 42, a 26, and a 39 - that averages to a 35 or 36 ... I would be happy with that!! Not that my dreams mean anything. When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I had a dream that she was going to be a puppy.

June 20th? No! *breaks conveniently placed ceramic pot*

On a side note, I submitted my AMCAS last Thursday night and I was processed today. A quicker turnaround than expected!

Dream: My MCAT score appeared on the news along with a bunch of congressional polling numbers. Didn't see the score, but there were pretty colors showing party affiliation in the 50 states.

That was a sick shot for the second goal though.

And the post by the US was heartbreak.

I'm stuck at work so I'm just getting updates via Yahoo. I wish I could be actually watching the game though. I am taping it, so it'll give me something to do tonight while I pack (moving this weekend!) Come on USA!

OMG. I can't believe it. I sooooooo wish they would be online today or tomorrow, but oh well... We can do it--only eight more days...

Okay, I'm assuming they'll be up Monday night? That would make the countdown seven days! :scared: Is this typically what has happened in the past anyone?

I hope Arena lit their asses on fire at halftime... we'll have to wait and see if they play with some G*dd*amn intensity now.

What are they waiting for? This is WORLD CUP TIME!

Mine showed up in the evening of the day they were announced to come out. Dr. Julian didn't give me a time, so I don't know when yours will show up. I'd count on them being posted on Tuesday, not Monday, and if they show up the night before, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Guju, where are you? Start the countdown again, and set it to end at 8PM on June 20th. (I'm guessing the time, guys, and erring on the side of picking a late one. I really don't know what time the scores will actually show up.)

The ChymeChancellor proclaims that all must obsessively call the AAMC and the MCAT Admistration office and send mass e-mails to everyone related or peripherally related to the MCAT to uncover the exact second that the scores will be released. All who do not cooperate will be bathed in chyme!

So I just called the Iowa number for the second time in a week, the first time I was told the 12th or the 13th, then today I was told the 20th like the website says. I also asked when the scored will be mailed out, and my answer was "They will be mailed out at the end of the week, so you may get them before they are posted online" (Caroline).

Are they serious??? Why not post them online if they have the scores!!! Quit driving us all nuts, lol.

Okay, since we are all pretty darn sure that AAMC really will not give us our scores until the 20th, and since they've even changed the announcement on the MCAT homepage to reflect this, I think somebody ought to update this link:

http://www.angelfire.com/crazy/mcat/

So, whoever it was that created it, can you edit it? Thanks!

If this is true, I'm not happy 🙁 It really doesn't make sense that they are able to mail out the scores this week but can't post them online until next week. Grrrr...

If this is true, I bet our scores are actually ready right now. If you think about how long it'd take to print up, package, stamp, mail that many score reports, so if they want to snail mail them out this week, I bet all the number crunching is actually done (assuming this is true).

If the folks at the AAMC office read this thread, they are for sure enjoying the torture! 😀 :scared:
Yeah I've had 3 people call me already today asking if the scores have been posted. The AAMC people must love this...although when I imagine what it's like to be in their position, it could be pretty cool to have so much control over other people's lives. Like those commercials where the girl is telling people at a party to do all these weird things (like "lick her feet"). Anyone remember what those commercials are for? Or am I the only one who watches too much TV?

I have my money on a score release for Wed/ Thurs....The MCAT is cruel, but I really dont think they would make us wait for a whole weekend for nothing.

Did anyone here ever listen to Eddie Murphy's stand up act, Delirious?
Well, he was talking about how you could be doing anything but when you heard the ice cream man coming, you dropped everything and went to go get your ice cream.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6Bf-SMbZuk

Well the AAMC is like the icre cream man driving the truck, say "watch these little motherf**kers run"

I feel very sad about the June 20 score release 🙁 I sort of feel like my life is on hold until I get my score (slight exaggeration here). The worry is always in the back of my head.

Anyone have a C_ form and think it sucked?

Unfortunatelty I live in the ass crack of Texas where the mail takes twice as long 😡

Why don't they just put up the scores as soon as they are all entered? This is ridiculous.

I agree, I am waiting to send out my application until scores come in (depends on where I will apply), and it is horrible having to wait! Why can't they just post them now????

Iowa to Indy, I wonder how long it will take... If they send it on Friday, then it may very well arrive by Monday, Tuesday for sure...

The scores are getting mailed from Iowa? I've received mail from NC in 2 days. As in...it was mailed on a Thursday and received on a Saturday. I wonder if the postal service gods will smile upon me with this one....

If you submit now, your AMCAS wont be released till the first or second week of July anyways, so your April scores will be on their regardless. Good luck.

yea, last august's countdown only got to 83 pages or so...and the last 20 pages or so are all from the day of score release!

i think this was the form i had. i honestly don't understand how some of ya'll remember specific questions and passages. that whole day is pretty much a blank for me.

Is anybody else really irritated with TPR for telling us that our scores would be out on the 7th?
For those of you who didn't take the class, TPR sent us an e-mail a couple of days after the MCAT basically telling us "you should have been more than prepared for the test because we covered everything in the class that you saw on the test." Then they told us through e-mail that our scores would be out on the 7th.
After paying $1500 for the class, I'm pretty ticked that they lied to us like that.

i had a really bad experience with tpr all around. teachers quit in the middle of class, teachers didn't show up for class, schedule changes with no notice...the list goes on so somehow i was not suprised by this behavior.

I don't really understand why they blatantly lied like that. What do they have to gain?

I just hope SDN manages to stay up and running when those suckers FINALLY come out...

And Anastasis, I second your question... Why not release them as soon as they're available?? Seems weird to me... Especially since other years, people got them in the mail about a week after online which wouldn't fit with mailing them before the online release. But sadly we have no say in the matter, so I guess we have to deal with whatever madness they decide to implement...

I didn't have a bad experience with them. Everybody seemed pretty organized and honest until they sent us that e-mail. I kind of feel like calling the head office to tell them how crappy it is to give us a false score release date. Has anybody else called them out on it?

Anastasis said:
I would really like to understand the logic behind not releasing them as soon as they're done. Not being snippy, just curious if it serves some purpose.

I think their protocol previously has been to post them in THx as soon as they arrive at AAMC. Not sure what's up with this current bullsh*t. I would hate to think that they have scores and aren't releasing them.

Wow is that a standard practice for TPR to email its students information like that? I took kaplan, and they barely sent out things of that nature. The only thing I do remember them sending post-mcat was a survey about the mcat, what they thought, its difficulty, hard sections, etc etc, which was very useful. Makes me look down on TPR intensely.
