***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

I wish someone could guarantee that I got over a 30. Then I might relax.

Just to make sure. I just registered for the online Tx thing to get the scores, but I forgot my username for registering so I had to reregister. Anyway, I logged in and came up with this page that just says "You have no scores yet". Is this the page that will be updated as we get closer? Thanks.

I really want to meet an MCAT writer, see what the hell that person is thinking and what drugs they are on.

Honestly---they're probably mentally depressed doctors who are taking their anger out on innocent pre-meds like us. Some Qs on this April MCAT were so random and did not cover concepts you would learn from your "Basic pre-req" requirements.

To get a Thx login, you can use what you registered for the MCAT for. But essentially it will be same as your AMCAS login information.

yea, definitely true. i had already started working on my AMCAS before i realized it was the one for 2006. i hope i can transfer over my app for 2007, but i'm not holding out much hope for that.

Just checkin' in here for the MCAT score release countdown. Ever since that test last weekend, I've been second-guessing myself on every damn thing from that test.

I guess only time will tell.

they should just have a big scantron at every test location, so that when you were done, for every section excluding the essay, one could simply slide his copy through the machine to "finalize" the test, after which one's scores would immediately be displayed in a baseball-stadium style LED at the front of the room. then the fortunate could immediately celebrate and the damned could commit ritual seppuku in the testing center bathrooms without having to endure two months of agony.

for the CBT, one's "unofficial" score could be tabulated at the end of the examination and "pop up" like one of those annoying ads. a vial of cyanide and a cigar (whichever was appropriate) would then eject from the computer CD tray.

Yep. I walked out of the test feeling good, but I'm taking that with a grain of salt now. Because a few days ago, I realized that I also had that "good, lucky feeling" after those practice exams only to score them and be under a 30.

Scentiment and Morriske...there have been rumors that some info will transfer from 2006 to 2007, but I can only imagine that those are only rumors, from what it looks like you will have to re-enter and I can throw away my 2006 AMCAS hehe. I just hope you didn't fill in the grades part because that is the biggest pain 😡

Welcome to SDN Tom. First off, don't believe everything you hear here and take everything with a grain of salt. Their are some kickass applicants on this website, so don't let them intimidate you. By the way, I am not one of those kickass applicants

Why oh why do I keep refreshing the MCAT THx page? There won't be any information there for weeks! I have those two scores from the April 1992 and April 1994 test dates (dates are correct, Series 3 and 7) staring back at me like a long forgotten and recently resurrected nightmare. I can't wait until the day when the scores are reported.

I predict the scores will be out by the 16th of June. Lets see if that is possible.

I think a lot of us felt a lil crappy after the exam, but I think thats natural, so don't worry. 8 days have flew by, I can't wait till we get into the 40s 😀

Well, if it makes you feel any better, my best grades on the practice tests were the ones where I walked out feeling like crap. Er, crappier than usual... Speaking of crappy, did any one else fall ill shortly after the test? I think my stress left me susceptible to infection, cause I caught some nasty virus within 2 days of the 22nd.

You aren't alone, I got really sick after the exam. Spent most of my time in Bed and on SDN on my way back from the bathroom Im still a little under weather, but no where near as bad as before. I hope you are feeling better 👍

They probably won't update THX until a week or so before the scores come out. That's how it always is. Even then, it will be something like "We anticipate being able to post the scores from the April MCAT on June XX, before midnight. Check back then.

I was totally neurotic that night, as were thousands of other SDNers. There was smoke coming out of the computer from all of the refreshing.

Good luck to all that took the April test!!! Remember that whatever score you get doesn't define you as a person; there's a lot more to this process than a MCAT score.

I did the same thing with starting to fill out the 2006 AMCAS. I emailed them and asked about it, and they said to expect having to re-fill the info on the 2007.

It's opening sometime in the next few days (I saw "on or around May 2, 2006" somewhere on the site, can't remember where). June 1st is the first day that you are able to actually submit the application, but you can start to fill it out before then.

I can't believe this. I really hope there is a way to transfer all of the info. from the 2006 to the 2007 app. I don't know how many countless hours I spent (instead of actually working) filling in all of my information. But I guess that's what you get for being ambitious.
