In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

Man I want to go to the melting pot! Im in Boston for the summer and I havent made too many friends yet so Ill probably celebrate all on my own... or maybe on the phone. Im thinking about a conference call with everyone back at home.

Guys, you have try this new Crystal Pepsi that just came out.

I don't think that got released all over the country. I remember when it came out here they told us we should feel special that we were a test market for it. (this is wal-mart's HQ around here).

just curious...what are you doing here in boston for the summer?

Haha, 32 was my "bar score" too. Here's hoping to a trip to the Melting Pot...

Right back at ya...

My OB/GYN wife scored a 32 on her MCAT back in 1998. From what I hear, she's turned out to be a great physician, so if I can match that...I'll be happy!

Here is some more breaking news:
Benifer is breaking up.
The show "Joey" is going to be canceled.
Chuck Norris took the April MCAT

5. Gujudoc is one of the most helpful people on SDN...ill probably ask her advice come this July lol.

Don't do it! Just trust you did well or good enough to get into medical school, and enjoy your vacation/trip!

Thanks🙂 I will be in Seattle for about 5 weeks working on my intership so I can't wait to get some fresh air.

We should make a boardgame and call it "PreMeds". Okay, I rolled the four dice and got 9-9-7-N. I drew a card from the E.C. pile of cards and drew a card that says "Volunteer at ER for Summer, 5 points"

Okay, your turn...

ok heres the scenario...you can either take your chances with the scores coming out on the 12th or the 20th...or you can choose to have the scores come out definitely on the 16th....

deal...or no deal?

When I saw the announcement posted on AAMC's website about the scores being released on the 20th, the only thing I saw was "Tuesday." Oh, that my hopes be not so dashed when I actually see my scores! (or perhaps late on the 19th?)

I'm sure there will be many to correct me, but I really don't think there's as much of a rush to get the AMCAS submitted "right away," as everyone seems to suggest. Getting it in earlier isn't going to make it any easier to get accepted. It may help you get the seconds back sooner, which if you get those in right away you may be more likely to get an interview, but that still doesn't mean you're accepted. When/if you're offered an interview, that seems like the time that earlier would be better to beat the rolling system. Yes, earlier is better, but in the long run, there's a few other variables which have a much greater influence on when the acceptance decision is made.

That being said, I'm sure I'll be right there with y'all clicking the "send" button hours after the scores are released. The psychological relief of getting the thing in makes all the difference in the world!

That's what I scheduled myself to accomplish today, but I feel paralyzed about the scores coming out. If the scores are low, then what's the point of writing a personal statement this year? :scared: 😳 😀 😛 😱 😕 🙁 😡 😴

I told myself Id do it this weekend
So i tell myself today that Ill do it tomorrow

Damn I really need to get some holes in before the summer officially starts....I planned on golfing a lot this summer. I might just hit the driving range tonight.

I used to work at a golf course for the past two summers, it was nice, lots of money and free golf. I started to get really good

But now I am like a full-time volunteer in the lab and have no money or time for golf...haven't gone since last August...its really depressing 🙁

I took my nephew to see Cars this morning and now we're playing race cars around the house. Still doesn't stop me from compulsively checking this thread while we are eating lunch.

What about compulsively checking THx? I swear the AAMC is gonna think I'm launching a DDoS attack against their server with so many refreshes!

Do we think scores will come out late Monday night or sometime Tuesday? I'm tempted to bring my laptop with me to work, and then run out to a coffee shop with internet access for lunch to check for scores...is that too much? 🙄

I think in the past the scores have come out at night. But who knows with the way score release has gone this year.

My premed advisor says that we should expect the scores on Monday/Tuesday next week (12th or the 13th) as the AAMC always does this. But there are no guarantees, so I'd start checking Sunday night until the 20th rolls around.

Perhaps I'm being really stupid.. which is actually quite likely.. but if MCAT scores will be available on the 12th/13th.. then why is the CBT registration page (https://services.aamc.org/cbt_registration/) still only setup for the 2005 MCAT??.. When I took the test, they told me I had to goto that site and enter the Registration ID they'd provided me.. 😕

It's a minor detail they've overlooked. Basically, someone forgot or will eventually change the text to be correct. I wouldn't worry about that and just get your login so you can check the THx system over the next week or so when they eventually come out.

Hi, I had no idea we could check scores online. Could you please let me know how we go about doing this to access our scores.

Thanks so much and good luck!

Goto the following website..
http://services.aamc.org/mcatthx/

Enter the username and password you create/used to signup for the MCAT exam.

Your scores will look like this (hopefully a higher score). The scores aren't up yet for the April 2006 exam, so if you haven't taken the test in the past then you won't see any scores yet. Hopefully the scores will be posted in the next few days.

Wait... So scores could come out Sunday night? I thought it was going to be Monday night or tuesday night? Seems wierd for them to release it on Sunday, especially if its gonna be late at night

I really don't anticipate them coming out on Sunday night. I doubt anyone's in the office to load them. So, I'd say Monday night (if it's not going to be the 20th). Here's hoping to 2 more days!!!

It's good to see that I'm not the only one using this logic!!! I've also put off editing the description section of my work experience / activities section! I too cannot bring myself to invest the time and effort if my MCAT is going to be subpar!

No, but believe this: I will be checking all the time until they come out! 😀

Yeah...I think Sunday night is a pipe dream. But, I'll be more than happy to toke up with you on Sunday night! You bet your a$$ I'll be refreshing that bad boy...

So wait... there's actually a chance in hell I could win the pool of "When will MCAT scores be released?"

By the way, is it going to be "Price is Right" rules for the pool? That is, closest without going over? If they indeed come out on the 12th, I'd be a runner-up.

I usually leech a game by going with freinds parents lol or just getting in by using their membership. Golf is one expensive sport sometimes. What do you consider good? I suck. I consider 3 over on any hole to be awesome

I liked Cars a lot. Once again Pixar has not let me down.

The cartoon before kinda blew but the movie was fantastic. I've been Tow Mater and he's been Lightning all afternoon. (He's 3 btw)

Are you referring to "One Man Band"--I would have liked it if we had not seen about 30 Pixar and Disney previews before hand.

My mom reminded me of last June's score release....it was somewhere around the 15th (of June) or so....
How realistic is it that the scores will be up on the 12th considering the exam was on the 22nd of April??
I dunno, I am not getting my hopes up for Monday. I am afraid the 20th means that on the 20th the scores will be posted.

Yeah - the music was good but the premise was odd. But I loved "For the Birds" nothing could ever top that one.
