***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

Brazil plays in less than an hour people!

Yeah I wish I wasn't stuck at work. Plus my VCR is ancient so I can't set it to record at a certain time. The best I can do is start it recording before I leave for work, but even on the longest setting the tape only gets the first 2 games... I'll have to check and see if the Brazil game is going to be re-broadcast...

i heard the mis-scores were due to the scantrons getting wet and not being properly fed into the reader.

I'm sure in AAMCese language, releasing the scores on June 29th at 11:50pm would probably still fit in the description of "around the 20th". Just a fair warning to you all. Better yet, I'm sure they could sit down and argue that "around the 20th" also depends on what the definition of "is" is.

F*ck it. At this point, I can't even remember what the hell this MCAT test was even about or what subjects were on it...

I'll expect a letter from AAMC in my mailbox sometime in the neighborhood of February 2009 that reads: "Your results from the April 2006 MCAT exam are: inconclusive."

Regular as ever but can't sleep very well. My pre-REM thoughts go like this "11 - 10 - 13, that's 34, Hell yeah, I can do a 34. No, no that PS had some tricky **** in it and I did guess on a whole passage in verbal, 9-8-12, Let's see does add to 30? 29, where in the hell did Bio lose a point, I need that point.....ad nauseam."

I had jet-lag for the first couple of days this week so I did not notice it but I laid in bed for 3 hours last night and got up way too freakin early this mornin'.
I am trying to live in a fantasy world untl next Tuesday but my wife won't cooperate. If she only knew how much help her fanning me and serving me cold beer at my request would be. 😀

So what is the thing about the mailing of the scores? Is ACT mailing them this week, so they arrive on the 20th? Or are they mailing them on the 20th? It seems counter-intuitive to me that I would get an envelope in the mail here in Chicago before the scores would be on-line.

Hang in there friends. I can't believe how popular this thread became. Back in April and May it was barely moving and I think Guju, Anastasis and others would post just to give it a bump.

So I had my first official MCAT dream last night.....not sure what the breakdown was, but I found out that I got a 28. I really hope it's higher than that, otherwise I'll have to take it again in August.
In other news, I got to see a forensic pathologist testify in a murder trial today (for real!)....pretty interesting!

Completely agree. Robinho is only 22 right? He definitely added a spark. I am speechless about Ronaldinho, he is amazing.

One advantage that we have is that we just need to get into A medical school, while pre-law students really need to push for a Top 25.

Damn the AAMC though, they are killing us.

hello! I’m another lurker. I guess I have a question.
when the scores are released are they released to everyone at the same time online or they go by time zone?
because if it is simultaneously it is not going to be fair for us in the East coast,
because we started the test earlier therefore we would have waited longer. 😉
I will prefer it by time zone, that way SDN wouldn't crash and every set of people will have one hour to speak about it.
I also think is not a good idea because the people from the west coast will suffer for a total of 3 hours

Actually, it's a pretty up-scale fondue restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, and any of them that I have been to are decorated well. It takes a good while to eat your meal, but if you go with a bunch of friends, it's always a good time! If you have one in your area, check it out.

I LOVE the Melting Pot!! It is a restaurant where everything is fondue... but classy upscale fondue not gross '70's fondue. it's so good!! But nothing would be as good as getting my scores...

I genuinely think that the MCAT people at ACT are giving Iowa a bad name. Whenever someone mentions the state now, it seems to have a hint of disdain... haha

On a side note, I live like 6 blocks from their offices, do you think I'll get my scores earlier? 😀

If I submit my AMCAS app and it is validated before April scores come out, will the new scores be seen by schools? Or do I need to wait for scores to come out first?
