In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

59 days and counting........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

Really strong work.
Every time I think of some buttoned up MCAT worker flying out of his swivel chair, I laugh. This is helping me get through the day. I thought it might help you all, too. And it was more original then sending Chuck Norris in. I don't know all of the Chuck Norris jokes.

Hmmmhhh...I just realized that jackieMD2007 and BradenDO are identical twins...why haven't you two shared this with us in the past? I've always fantasized about sharing a thread with identical twins! 😉

Who? Your dad? Haha! His dad is God! errrr...yeah.

I trust Q on this one...I think her source is pretty solid.

Hehe, indeed. Associate Vice President of the AAMC / MCAT Director? I'd say that's pretty much straight from the horse's mouth. 😛 Three cheers for Q!

Did I just go there? OOoopss...there I go again. Replying to my own posts! Hey, that's how I just cruised past 100+ baby!

I don't doubt Q's source one bit...but I do think that of all people, the AAMC director would be providing conservative information...tell us the 20th, so we'll be pleasantly surprised with anything sooner.

I'm still keeping my hopes up and checking that site a few times a day!

I hope you're right!

To send or check your scores, please use the New MCAT Testing History (THx) Report System. April 2005 MCAT scores are now available. (From the AAMC website)

I read this on the AAMC site as "April 2006" and started hyperventilating. I kill myself.
Time for more Terry Tate. Oh my god hallucinations are bad.

Are you in S. Texas too? Where do you live?

AHH all this talk of tacos is making me miss Texas! There was this great place on Manor called El Chilito (in Austin) about a mile from my house that had amazing tacos... Oh and theres always Chachos in San Antonio. **Sigh** Ill just have to go explore that place yall we're talking about in Harvard Square- it wont be the same tho.....
I never thought Id miss the 101 degree weather. I guess i just miss Texas! Oh well at least it distracts me from the stupid MCAT!

Best carne molido tacos I ever had, I hate to say because I don't want to give NM any props but were at a joint in Alamagordo, NM. Carmen's

They were great but not worth the 4 hours of 80's time warp you go through to get them.

Hoping to get into UTHSCSA to get in on some of those taco joints down there. A friend who worked there said tacos were like currency in SA. I can't wait.

thanks...I feel better now 😛 😛

I really love the clapping smiles-they are so fun!

I never used to have wine every day but for this week I'm enjoying a glass or two each night, just until the scores come out 🙂 Tonight it's a Greg Norman Estates shiraz...anyone see that article on CNN.com about how coffee can help prevent alcoholic cirrhosis(sp?)?

Yes, the number of roundhouse kicks we get directly relates to our MCAT score.

"Please, Chuck! May I have another?"

Nice! Or a modified classic from Animal House:

"Thank you Chuck! May I have another?"

Actually...now that I think about this...I had better get Jet Li to deliver those roundhouses...sorry Chuck!

YES!!! Do you believe it? I heard about it from NPR and the NY times as well. How can it be true? I think the numbers were something like only 200 people developed cirrhosis out of a group of many many thousands. But very intruiging nonetheless.

Just for Today, I'll only check my Thx once.
Just for Today, I'll only torture myself about my score once.

I'm Jackie, and I have an MCAT problem.
Everyone now: "HI, Jackie!" 😀

That is what this thread is for me.

So for yall in Boston... what must I do in the 2 months that Im here?

Nothing comes to mind. I see tourists every day and always wonder- why are you here!? Boston's a nice city and all, but I would never come to visit for sightseeing/tourist attractions.
Try to leave the city if you can for daytrips around New England. Check out the Cape, Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket, maybe even drive up to Maine or Vermont.

I agree about Maine. I love it there..My wife is from Bath, we go every chance we get

What will we do with ourselves after they're posted and we don't have anything to compulsively check?

We both know we will still check and make sure we looked at right for at least a couple of days...after that to the AAMC website to check if they have processed applications

Yeah, I love small town rustic New England. Boston on the other hand is a metropolis- nothing New Englandy about it except the nauseating kitsch purposefully designed for tourists in places like Quincy Market.

Just curious......who else is married? How do your spouses handle the whole pre-med thing? Most of the pre-meds at my school are really young- I only know one other married girl.

Cheers to our husbands and wives for dealing with our mental anguish!!! 😍
By the way, I am about to have a glass of wine............

Thats what Im trying to do I suppose. My aunt and i are going to Salem on Friday. Its just difficult to get out when one does not have a car. Im also hoping to go to NYC for the weekend. I just wish I had a car so I could take off on my own!!!!
PS- Arent you glad it stopped raining!!! 😀

who takes a 34 over? Seems silly.
I took the MCAT the first time in 1996. The scores expire after 2-3 years at most schools. Let that be yet another lesson at my expense to the rest of you. 😎

Edit: braluk, I like your palindrome explanation better. And if you want to post pad, come hang out with us in the random thread.

Cheers on the wine..I have been married for 3 years, and i have 2 little ones ( 19 months and 7 wks) and my wife seems to get the picture and is very supportive. i guess the Organic Chem was her warm up for this
