***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

Well, thanks for trying... maybe we could look into alternative forms of persuasion.

I think we should all agree that none of us will check our scores until July. MCAT will be totally baffled by the lack of interest and attention. Especially since AMCAS released their recommendations for a 30% increase in Med school admissions today.

I called the AAMC right now and they said that they havent been told what time the scores will be released. She said to try after midnight or after 9 am tommorow....i have a feeling that the scores wont be up until sometime tommorow afternoon....making my next 24 hours HELL!

Another way to look at it is that 37.5 hours is almost a full time work week. ... sigh ....

But- you'll probably sleep at least 6 of those hours- thats almost a full day 😀

I've managed to stay of THx, but I spent a lot of my morning at work getting caught up on this thread... I'm gonna go eat lunch now, and hopefully there won't be so many new posts that it takes me all afternoon to catch up again. (Unless there are a ton of posts because scores got posted... That I would be ok with).

I thought about it, really. I thought, I should just finish my application, take a breather, then worry about the scores.

But then my advisor sent out an email last week saying they'd be here June 20. And I've been freaking out ever since.

Sadly, I don't think there's any chance at all of my finishing my last two essays (the MD/PhD ones) before whenever the scores come out. At this point, I feel like it's futile to even work on them, because there's a strong chance I won't have a decent enough MCAT to even apply dual degree.

Meh. I want my scores.

I think there could actually be a class-action lawsuit if someone can prove intentional causation of emotional distress by the AAMC. All it would take is proving that the scores could have come out earlier and they intentionally took longer than necessary.

However, I certainly wouldn't want to take on the AAMC... They're even scarier than big tobacco...

i'll play ncaa football 06 on ps2 with some friends = 3hrs
dishes, shower, and stuff = 1hr
chilll in the hood = 1hr
movie = 2hrs
workout = 1 hr
ummm....
another movie = 2 hrs
surf the net = 1hr
chill in the hood again = 1 hr
be bored, surf net again = 1 hr

I can't believe how much gets posted so quickly. Let's make 5,000!!! I really want scores to come out, but my wife wants to be next to me when I get my scores. I guess she deserves it because of all the time I spent studying rather than be with her. Anyway, she has banned me from checking Thx without her standing next to me. So, I am counting on you "refreshers" to let me know as soon as they come out!!

haha I know what HE is going through, last year I got some very angry calls. The game demands to much time and attention, thats why I had to quit for a while. I wish I had it now to kill the time.

I've always been one of the least stressed people when it comes to exams and grades. After reading this thread I think I am getting as close to freaking out as I ever have and having constant nightmares that I got a combined score of 6. If that ever actually happened I don't know what I would do (first of course I would ask for a rescore since thats ridiculous).

Speaking of low scores, does anybody actually get a combined score of anything like a 6 or other low score like that? It just seems harder to do than to do well.
