thanks guju for letting me take over 😎

hmm sorry but they half lied. i took kaplan also over teh summer. i think teh consesus is taht kaplans PS has more calculations taht slow you down while onteh MCAT they have more concept bases questions for PS. Verbal for Kapllan is a joke compared to theh MCAT and alll the AAMC tests. teh bio i havent heard any complaints about. either way its better to measure urself agaisnt recent AAMC tests.

See, I get that one (maybe) - The steam roller (aka loller) is rolling over the lol's! It's really cute.

:luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: (times 3 - SDN wouldn't let me post all 15)!

Not to steal Nikki's thunder or anything, but here it goes.......

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!

ive wondered why it always come sout liek that. but i think its that my ring finger is faster that my middle finger or the other way around. it only happens with keys that are for my left hand.

is there any possible way they will release them like the monday before the 14th. cause alot of the tests were CBT and those are quick to grade, at least teh MC parts. there has be a to some small chance that we get them earlier

ok, i guess you don't do it on purpose... i see "teh" quite a bit, and I was wondering it was some fad that I missed

well if you read teh questionable content, the main character where's a TEH shirt i can imagine it was a fad somewhere out there.

Those LSAT-ERS would have had their scores back to them twice by now.

Yea, and when you take the GRE you get your verbal and math scores immediately after answering the last questions. (You get your writing score in the mail a few weeks later). It's a bit shocking to go through the 3 hrs of testing and then get it immediately (I ended up walking the 2 miles home or so afterwards in kind of a daze), but it's so much better than 8 hrs and two friggin' months!

omg could you imagine getting your mcat scores immediately after the exam. whoa.....

Yeah, getting the scores immediately afterwards would really mess with my head.... I might even prefer the two months. You have to prepare yourself, or else it's loco time.

Yea, I think about a month would be good or even six weeks (The former of which they're, of course, going to next year). Since I was on vacation from the morning after the MCAT through September 10th I didn't really think about it. However, the last week or so of waiting has been grueling!

Fourteen more days!!! :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: (x2)

I've started the checking AAMC daily to see if (for some reason) they posted the scores yet...

I'm a re-applicant, and this is very much like the "mail-box" ritual, where you are constantly checking your email / mail box for interview invites / letters of acceptance / whatever....

Oh, so fun to do this twice. 🙄

I hate that scores are suppposed to come out over Columbus day weekend, typically a big travel/vacation weekend for students. I usually go on a trip with friends during this break, but now I'm not sure I'll want to go bc I'll be freaking out waiting for my score (or freaking out after I get it). What the hell! Its like they try to make these 2 months as miserable as possible. 😡

This is just a power play. They have had scores ready for weeks. They are sitting on their bags of money and laughing. I HATE the AAMC.

Ha! How true!!!!!!! You guys the official 2 week countdown is in literally less then 6 hours and counting.

Going into the August MCAT I knew I wasn't going to do well. I wanted to see how the test process was like. Now I know and...gotz to study MORE. I know the rest of you did really well. good luck to all.

does AAMC really know our scores by now? So they're just choosing to not reveal them until around October 14? Why? What do they get out of doing that? There has to be a purpose because if there isn't then that's just MEAN. Like really. Like. Totally.

I hope they do that to allow themselves more time and double check all the scores. After we don't want a repeat of what recently happened with SAT scores.

Good luck to all:luck: , I'm dying of anxiety myself:scared:

Hello All,

I have only recently discovered this forum. As I gain much useful information from it, I do not wish to only lurk but also contribute/join in. Unfortunately, I don't have much useful input yet. Regardless, I should post as to not only lurk but also participate.

Sadly, I, too, am feeling anxiety regarding the score releases in two weeks. In spite of doing my best to be accepting of the now unalterable outcome, the excitement/anticipation is building. Though I am not sure if this thread helps release that anxiety or simply augments it, it is comforting to know that many others are 'suffering' similarly. Best of luck to all.

Dammit!! Friday the 13th of all days!

paraskavedekatriaphobia = fear of friday the thirteenth

Just knowing that this word/disorder exists makes me wonder if I want to go to & memorize things like this at med school

a little history......
There is an old Roman tradition that states if 13 people sit down to dinner together, all will die within the year.
The Turks so disliked the number 13 that it was practically expunged from their vocabulary.
Many US cities do not have a 13th Street or a 13th Avenue.
Many US buildings don't have a 13th floor.
Another theory that is you have 13 letters in your name, you will have the devil's luck (Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy and Albert De Salvo all have 13 letters in their names). DAMMIT I HAVE 13 LETTERS IN MY NAME!
There are 13 witches in a coven.
It has been theorized that fears surrounding the number 13 are as ancient as the act of counting. Primitive hunter/gatherer man had only his 10 fingers and two feet to represent units, this explanation goes, so he could count no higher than 12. What lay beyond that — 13 — was an mystery to our prehistoric forebears, hence an object of superstition.
If this to prove the point, the Bible tells us there were exactly 13 present at the Last Supper. One of the dinner guests — er, disciples — betrayed Jesus Christ, setting the stage for the Crucifixion.
Did I mention the Crucifixion took place on a Friday?

I wonder where friday the 13th came from... In Argentina, for example, it is Tuesday the 13th

Scores are almosst here! good luck everyone! 🙂

OMG The phrase "Friday the 13th" came from the day october 13th 1307.............................................

The catastrophe was the decimation of the Knights Templar, the legendary order of "warrior monks" formed during the Christian Crusades to combat Islam. Renowned as a fighting force for 200 years, by the 1300s the order had grown so pervasive and powerful it was perceived as a political threat by kings and popes alike and brought down by a church-state conspiracy, as recounted by Katharine Kurtz in Tales of the Knights Templar.

"On Friday, October 13, 1307, a day so infamous that Friday the 13th would become a synonym for ill fortune, officers of King Philip IV of France carried out mass arrests in a well-coordinated dawn raid that left several thousand Templars — knights, sergeants, priests, and serving brethren — in chains, charged with heresy, blasphemy, various obscenities, and homosexual practices. None of these charges was ever proven, even in France — and the Order was found innocent elsewhere — but in the seven years following the arrests, hundreds of Templars suffered excruciating tortures intended to force 'confessions,' and more than a hundred died under torture or were executed by burning at the stake."

Well, if 13 is such a bad luck number, let's go with 6.5 x 2 more days till score release!!! :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:

What happened with SAT scores?

Someone told a friend of mine that scores were coming up tonight, and I was thinking to myself...I guess people are starting to go really crazy already.

Despite the wonderful historical reference, I continue to hate superstitions. It seems to me that there are few things that are less logical in this world. Therefore, I am happy to say that I am Jewish. For Jews, 13 is actually a lucky number seeing as how it is the age when a boy becomes a man through Bar Mitzvah. (& Yes, I do see how it is just as illogical to call 13 a lucky number. I am simply being facetious.)
