Official: Countdown For Texas Match

TMDSAS will be doing a "Validation" of courses on applicants that have interviewed at their indicated schools in order to generate a "Prescribed Course Report". The validation is a process where each course entered on the application is verified with the official transcript(s). ALL transcripts must be received in order for TMDSAS to conduct the validating of courses. The report that is generated, Prescribed Course Report, is a detailed report of the courses that TMDSAS codes as meeting the requirements for entrance. It will indicate if there are any deficiencies in course work. This report is then sent to the schools. The validation is the final step for an applicant to then matriculate, if accepted.

I think everyone is getting stressed right about now! I would think so, but then HollyJ said she knew of someone who had interviews at all eight schools in Texas, and didn't get in, and finally got in their second time around.

Okay I am getting exicted now!!! Just about 8 days left. What is everyone planning to do next Saturday? I have to work until 5pm. Then I am thinking about taking the wife out for a nice meal and then maybe a 9 o'clock movie to pass the time. Because after last year, we sat around most of the day just watching the clock go around, only to find out at midnight 🙁 HOPEFULLY this year is 😀

So with February first being Sunday, can schools mail out matches on Friday or do they have to wait until Sunday?

Either way, the Super Bowl should be a good distraction...

Hey Bad Mojo, you get your results online. They are not mailed out. You get your results around 12 AM Sunday on the TMDSAS website. As far as I know I dont think anything is mailed out from TMDSAS, maybe from schools after the match date.

schools mail out acceptances and usually so you get them very quickly. they will probably mail them out saturday.

don't worry about your transcripts and the match.
the deed is done now.

see if you match (crossing my fingers for you! 🙂), and if so, send them in to TMDSAS when you think about it.

Probably nothing. I wouldn't worry about it. They are just checking people's files and making sure everything is in order.

I don't know what this update means, but why would TMDSAS update and check people's files AFTER Jan 15? They had plenty of time to check it before the schools submit their list. Perhaps it means that you have been matched somewhere, and they are making a final check to see that everything is in place. Just speculating.

On the other hand, it's possible that "updating" our files simply means they have passed some sort of inspection, a "All systems go" check and nothing more.
