Not that I took the MCAT or anything, this past August, but just because I feel like you all should have a thread like the one Crazy Cav had for us in April..........

They should be out at 10 thurs night. That's what they did in April and last August. (I took the April and a close friend took it last august). Good luck guys!

Getting quesy. I think I'm gonna be sick that night. I've invested so much into my apps, I hope its worth it. Ugggggghhhhh, me no feel well.

It's funny...I never thought of it that way til now when you mentioned it...the MCAT workers are probably just laughin' their heads off since they know our scores, and we're all sitting here anxiously waiting and hoping for a 30+...man, I bet they even look at these forums and are like, "HAHA!! We know now, and you gotta wait!!" Well, I'm gonna be up Thurs night anyway since I gotta write a paper, and it's a good excuse to stay up 😉 but honestly, I hope that my reaction when I see my scores is jumping for joy (as do we all)...well, at least it's just 1 more week and this tortuous waiting will all be over and we'll just make the best of it and plan ahead.

Stress is strangling me as well. I have major physiological issues, and have trouble calming down. I feel like my "fight or flight" is on constant sympathetic alert. "Rest and digest" is simply non-existent. I am more nervous than I was in the summer prior to the mcat, and my 18hr load is not helping either. But I do wish for all of us to do super well! I think this test is something that should be taken once...it causes so much distress.

I feel like I'm going to vomit. One minute I remember how blank I felt looking at the test and I think I got a 22. The next I remember how well I did on the practice tests and I start hoping for a 35. The next I remember how on the practice tests I actually knew what some of the questions were asking and I'm back in my mind to the 22. The reality is probably somewhere in between, but I need a good score. I have average grades, average letters of recc and a pitifully small list of extracurriculars...

I had my first MCAT nightmare the other day... I checked my score and got a 20-something... And then I woke up. I didn't remember the dream until later on during the day... *sigh* 6 more days.

I better finish my secondaries this weekend in case a mediocre MCAT score sucks the life out of me.

Can't believe the scores will almost be out. September was busy with school and applications and I sort've forgot about the MCAT. I really hope I don't have to take it again.. for the 3rd time!

Is it normal for me to keep checking the Thx website, even though I know full well that the scores are not up yet?

Don't worry, I'm doing that too!!!!! 😱 I dunno why, but I am. I can't believe it's getting so close! I'm INCREDIBLY curious as to what I made.

Sorry, I realize that Family Guy is a funny show, (heck I'm the one who put the quote up) but it isn't even on the same level as The Simpsons, or even South Park. Both have humor that is much "smarter", i.e. they don't require constant pop-culture references or five-minute fights with chickens in order to get laughs.

Agreed, The Simpsons is by far the best cartoon in history. I like Family Guy, too, for it's soundbyte raunchiness and drug humor, but the wit and cultural spoofing of the Simpsons is top notch. You totally have to be a film buff and Jeopardy champ to catch all the details of scenes and jokes they use. Even the celebrities they caricature, from Mike Tyson to "Mayor" Kennedy, are brilliant! 👍 And what, 16 years (?) and running, that's unmatched by anyone in primetime, even little Stewey.

so if I get a 30+ I will donate $20 to SDN. 30 or lower I donate $7.50

either way I think reading SDN probably added 3+ points to my score as I used it to decide what to buy, how to study, answered a ton of questions, and saved me $1500 on an MCAT coures.

If i get a 45 on the MCAT I will donate one MMMMMIIIILLLLIIIIIOOOONNN DOLLARS (Dr. Evil voice) to SDN. If I get lower than a 45 I will send them brownies--special brownies.

so I know it says that the scores will come out 10/14/05 ... but I have also heard people say that they should be out on 10/13/05 anytime between 10pm-12am .... is that true? should I be clicking the THx website every 5 seconds on thursday night too? 😛

Yes. From what people have experienced in the past, the scores should be out late Thursday night around 10pm EST.

I don’t know this MCAT scores would turn into a love or not, but it would be important and let’s just hope something good comes out of it.
