My priorities always appear screwed up on here. But no, its not reflective of my feelings. I had actually thought that I posted the babies earlier, so once I started new uploading pics, I realizd I hadn't.

we do realize that we won't find out until october 16th right...since like oct 15th is a sunday and all.....and the msar says the day is the 16th....

This is NOT true. Michigan texts them on 12 am 15th, and I know case is planning on letting us check our status at midnight tonight.
 
OK OK I was just saying that is my knowledge of the situation, individual schools do things a little different.

Hmmn. You named two schools. IF I remember correctly there are about 100 schools who tell you on the 16th. So it is TRUE. You must look at the majority not the exceptions to the rule.
 
The MSAR only says the 16th b/c the 15th is a Sunday. It's always 10/15, as EPD is always 10/1. If schools want to work on Sunday and let students know, they can. However, I guess the vast majority are going to wait til Monday.
I know USF is letting students know tomorrow.
 
haha i got told "next week" when i called on friday. i guess that probably means monday!:laugh:

there were some (4) undergrads SCREAMING outside my apt. last night, my mind is so warped from all this, i actually caught myself thinking...wow, i wonder if they heard from a med school and got in!

hee my mail station is like 300 yards from my apt. building, but when i get the letter i think i'm gonna wait to open it in my apt. b/c i think i'll be crying either way.

OOOH! I want to play. I am coming from the pre-pharm forums since I'm bored. I didn't know med schools have an unofficial acceptance day.

So just to clarify, many schools have Oct 15th as their first day of sending out acceptances? If that's the case, I will hang around here the next 12 hrs and see what we have. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
 
ugh this wait sucks...i'm expecting to find out about at least three schools next week and i keep rethinking my interviews. what if i sounded too eager? what if i didn't come across as mature enough? it's driving me crazy...i just want good news soooo badly.

This day seems like it's taking forever. I tried to keep myself super busy today (grocery shopping, mall, random errands), but I can imagine I won't get much sleep tonight. Ugh, the waiting.
What's going to be very hard is if I don't get my USF email before I leave for church in the morning. I'll just be sitting through the service wondering when's the next time I can check my email.

Does anyone think I'm reading too much into a secretary giving a very unenthusiastic response that my "application has yet to be reviewed" when I asked my status? Maybe she's telling the truth, but then again, I don't think I've ever heard of people getting their waitlists/rejections over the phone either! Sigh.

no, pitt told me when i emailed them that they will begin sending out notifications on the 16th. she didn't tell me if that was by email or regular mail. and she didn't say when i specifically would find out since i interviewed on 9/15. i'm hoping hoping hoping to find out this week.
 
Aaaack, this is driving me crazy, even though I don't think I interviewed early enough to hear from NJMS tomorrow.

just wondering if anyone who interviewed at ohio state got the email saying their status had been updated yet. from what i remember them saying, they're updating the pages today but we can't see the update until tomorrow. don't we get an email when the page is updated?

Yup. We should get that email today i believe. I got my interview email a day before i was allowed to look at the status. I am guessing we will get both tomarrow morning. Or maybe email tonight. I am nervous!

BTW what did you think of the school?

I think they said they won't email us or update the status until Monday...

i liked the school and i think it's great that they have the two pathways you can choose from. it was a little further from home than i would prefer, but it's definitely a school i'd go to if accepted. what did you think?

yea, i figure most schools will wait until monday....why have people work on sunday just to give us one day less of stress 🙄
 
I decided when I get accepted (not if, WHEN) I am going to throw a huge party. I'm going to book a Russian restaurant, invite all my friends and family and just dance and drink the night away. I think I deserve it after not even getting any interviews last year.

I don't know how much I believe in signs, but I was driving today, and when I turned on the radio, the first thing that came on was a Russian rap song I never heard before, and the chorus went "Tomorrow everything will be good". I'm hoping that might be a good sign. I'll let you guys know tomorrow.
 
I figured that I would top off the thread with a Big 'ol 500th thread post thank you to all of you for helping to pass the stressful wait time. Acceptance season is officially here and we can most definitely say the heat is on. Likewise, the season of worrying can now officially begin too. Best of luck to all my friends. I hope to be in classes with some of you next year!!!!!:luck:

My primary was verified early and I am receiving secondaries right now. However, I retook the MCAT on June 14th and won't get a score until July 15th.
