I think Penn is holding interviews until the end of February or early March, at least from what I heard from the admissions office. And they are still giving acceptances. They just gave out a few yesterday.
Oh that's good news, do you know if their interview spots are filled at this point? Or will they be sending out some more invitations? Thanks for the information!
Who has interviews scheduled, coming up in Feb and March at UOP? I'd like to get an idea of how deep their waitlist is, or is going to be. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they're interviewing only on Thursdays now, so the dates would be Feb 16, Feb 23, March 1, March 8, and so on....Also, for those who've already had their interviews do you have any updated information on how full class is, how many on waitlist, etc... Good Luck Everyone...

i forgot the exact numbers 🙁 but you should definitely call them and ask because when I interviewed on Feb 3rd, they still had a good amount of spots left 🙂

No.. I actually got a missed call from them yesterday.. and then I waited anxiously for a call back today and they did!! with an acceptance 🙂
they still havent decided on my file and I interviewed in october
I interviewed Nov 31st... not early enough to be considered for the Dec 1st acceptance round. I was waitlisted on the "High Hold" list on Jan 3rd and then finally accepted on Feb 15th

Thanks everyone!! And yes, Tim, I hope you're right! That means I don't have to move my wife and two little ones across the country. But we'll go anywhere so if OHSU doesn't come through and we don't hear back from Roseman and don't get called of Western's waitlist then we'll head to Boston this summer! 😀

Got an interview for Tufts on Tuesday. Surprised they still are interviewing. Scheduled it for March 6th bit will be cancelling it. Got accepted to NYU in December and was mentally ready to go there since my family lives around there. Just made the decision today that it's not worth making the trip to Tufts if I already know I won't go there. Hope that spot opens up for someone who needs it! Gluck!
I was rejected from Pitt as well. 3.95 GPA and 20 on dat. Guess I should've done better on my dat and applied earlier
Its the +/- aspect of rolling admissions, I think Pitt interviewed and took all their prospective students from the earliest pool of applicants. I know people who applied in late August with awesome stats like yours and were rejected. So I think it was just all about time with Pitt. Other schools like NYU would give you a shot because they seem to care about stats vs. true rolling admissions.
Yeah. rolling admissions seems sort of not the best way to go. I would think waiting until you saw everyones application would then give the school a better chance at having the best they can get. Who knows. Im sure everyone they did accept was great and very qualified. It just seems strange to have a deadline if you handed out all of the interviews before that deadline anyway. It's sort of frustrating. Hopefully I get in to Temple this cycle. If not then I'll certainly be working hard to get everything in early next year for all the schools.
When I had called Pittin the middle of December they knew no other interviews were going out. She told me to apply next year. I wonder why they waited until February to actually notify us officially. Guess they are just overloaded with applicants.

I dont agree with you. If you apply late to a job interview, you dont get the job. If you come late to a one day sale, you dont get the item and if you apply late or later to d-school then you risk losing a seat. I think its fair and very american. First come, first serve. It could be a lot worse because all schools could follow that logic but I know NYU will sort their applicants based on stats, which isn't fair since people who apply late should deal with their own set of problems.

Yeah that does make sense. I just don't understand the logic behind having a deadline (December 1st) but all the interviews they were giving out were handed out before that date. Just seemed a bit weird. And no I haven't been accepted anywhere yet since I only applied to two schools this cycle because of graduating earlier than expected from undergrad. There's always next year though!

Still haven't heard back from one of the schools I interviewed at, so I'm still holding on to some hope for this year. Thanks for the good wishes for next year though 🙂
