This is bizarre. My DAT scores were received mid June and I was in first batch too.

I got the complete email on 7/20 and I was in first batch

I actually mailed out my supp fee during 2nd week of June. I was in the second batch so my app was sent out 7/4...

Had app complete email on 7/20
 
This might be a silly question, but is the NYU "Application Complete" email different than the "Application Received" one? I got the latter 7/19 but am curious if there is another one.

I wanna be there but cost of flight is one thing I need to consider since I'd have to fly there. How important do you think it is to be there?

same...NYU doesn't even show up on my AADSAS app. Should I be worried? I think I'm gonna give them a call tomorrow...:scared:

NYU does not use aadsas at all, atleast they didnt last cycle.
 
I agree with bing. NYU doesn't use AADSAS. Interview invites are by email I believe and acceptances are by snail mail.
 
Just an observation,:idea: it seems that people with case, nova and nyu interviews all have veryyyyy similar stats. Maybe it doesnt even matter what batch, if you meet their criteria you get an interview it seems like
 
I can drive to NYU and Case so I am happy I got interviews there, at least there will be minimal travel hassles.

is this an interview invite or something else. I am way confused.
 
False Alarm. I just contacted them about it and they told me that their interview invites don't go out till mid to late september and their interviews are in october.

The email was just to let me know that the application is complete and if I have any questions, I can contact them.

Brutal false alarm, but at least it's a lot nicer than the rhetoric we see from other schools:
"Due to the overwhelming amount of mail, do not contact us or we will slaughter tiny puppies."
 
Is it a bad sign that Case Western interviews are booked until December? The soonest I could get an interview was December 5th.

Wow that's crazy... They must've handed out a ton of interviews or they just offer very little slots?...
 
They only interview about ~200-220 out of state people. Is that a lot?

What is really funny though, last year my friend had an interview planned there and she cancelled it because she had her December 1st decision locked up. Case countered by calling her endlessly and offering to pay for travel if she attended an interview.

They really take their OOS applicants seriously!

Maybe this is just a word of the wise to not cancel your interview there haha!
 
Just got an email from buffalo about app being ready for review...

"The Student Admissions Committee will now begin to review your application. The review process takes approximately 3-4 weeks. Upon completion of the review you will receive written notification of your application status. You may also check the status of your application at any time on the AADSAS Web Portal."
 
How does Case notify you that you got an interview? do they send an email?

yeah they send you invite via email. Then you have to call them to schedule it.

My NYU interview is on Sep 12th. I guess I miss the chance to meet you.
 
I applied to 25 schools, no interview yet. Officially jealous of everyone who got an interview 🙁
 
NYU invite today...finally I can breathe and stop checking my mail/AADSAS/SDN every 4-6 minutes for updates...
