Thanks, I was just looking at plane tickets and I can't believe how expensive it is. Its going to cost me a lot. argh... just got to remember this is an important investment for the future.

Did they get back to you on the actual date though? I got the email too but have been trying to work out scheduling with school. The semester hasn't started yet and professors either haven't answered me, or have not been understanding... the woman we are supposed to RSVP to is going on vacation until the 30th anyways... but I'm stuck on which days to choose =/ I don't want to wait it out much longer because days will fill up!!!!

I know what you mean. It is annoying that she is on vacation all week. I emailed her yesterday stating that I RSVP for Sept. 20th. How are we going to know if it filled up or not? Just have to wait till next week I suppose. I am wondering if I can send another email to change my date for Oct. 11th because I have noticed the plane tickets are so much cheaper then in september.

Yea, it's mildly frustrating, but at least we got one! It seems that this is the first series of interview offers they sent out so it seems likely we'll get whatever interview date we requested.
 
I thought that mid-August is when a lot of school send out invites... what happen to that??? should we keep our hope till mid-September now?

Yeah, i hear ya. I have heard that its often mid-august to mid-september that is what schools consider interview invite season 😀

Mine says that as well, and has been like that since 7/29 (my mailing date was 7/18 and I paid my supplemental fee when I submitted on 6/27). The CA schools (except for Western) all seem to be kind of late with the interview notifications, so I'd say that if it doesn't change or we haven't been contacted by the beginning of September then we should probably give them a call.

Seems like a pretty solid EC activity to me. Just because he doesn't actively search for love on the internet, doesn't mean he's unqualified for an interview. Calm down.

Yes, I agree. That's why I bolded it. I'm like 100% sure he will get into at least one dental school this cycle.

Internet dating is a serious lifestyle option for some people. Stop mocking it and leave him alone now. Anyways, I do agree that 10 years of active military service is an admirable thing. Congrats on the UPenn interview!

did you really get 0 interviews last year despite applying early to all these schools?

BU, Case, Columbia, Creighton, Indiana, Marquette, NYU, Temple, Tufts, Buffalo, Detroit Mercy, Louisville, Maryland, UMDNJ, Michigan, Penn, Pittsburgh, USC, UoP, VCU, Midwestern-AZ,
 
nothing today either...nothing last wk...this is making me sad =( mid aug was suppose to be a great ...n nothing thus far =/

Received an email from Loma Linda this morning with a weird subject title:

"SUBJECT: Supplemental Returned Email

MESSAGE: We have received your LLUSD supplemental application. We recommend that you check the AADSAS and LLU web portals frequently for any missing documents or other information.

You will receive an email with our decision once your file has been reviewed. This may take up to six weeks. Please do not send extra items to our office by mail. Any items mailed directly to our school will not appear on the LLU portal."

Same deal last update was weeks ago. they'll update it again later. last year after waiting for review it becomes wait 7-8 weeks for re-review or something close it. everyone got that even those who got called for interviews.

I worked my butt off to get those ...this is my third time applying n I'm still waiting for Cali schools...sorry if I upset u but it wasn't my intent ...I am waiting on Cali schools since I'm a Cali resident

You have great stats, SpringDDS 🙂 I believe you will get in this year with multiple acceptances.
 
Indiana just rejected me via email.
I feel terrible, I can't believe it!
I'm hoping its because I'm OOS.
At least I didn't have to pay the supplemental fee =(

Don't feel bad... but email them and ask them why you got rejected. They are very helpful.

Oh no, I should've emailed her yesterday! I emailed her today thinking that her mailbox would at least still get emails, but she just wouldn't be able to reply until she got back. Her mailbox kicked a message back out though saying she isn't receiving emails until Aug 29th! I hope I'm not the only one that didn't email right back. Trying to work around the semester without a syllabus is a nightmare -_- I'm going to request the Oct 11th date as a preference, and then Oct 25th as my alternate. Very exciting though! Congrats congrats!!

I got that too.. This week last year they sent out their first interviews though.

Hey, do not fret! when did you e-submit? and when did you complete supplemental apps?

The later you did, the longer it takes. Don't worry, every thing will work out when the interviews start piling in. 😀

I e-submitted on 6/4/11 and completed supplemental apps throughout the month of july. That counts as early right?? I am soo nervous!! lol

I think your stats are good, Upenn is a great school, my friend just started there. Look for some more interviews heading your way.....

Patients is one of the hardest things to do!!!.

Yup, ditto. I applied to 15 schools, esubmitted 7/4, had supplementals done by end of July. This waiting sucks, especially when it's my fourth year of applying!
