1st interview! I'm excited. 🙂

School: Midwestern
Notification date: 09/05
Method of notification: Email
Residency: CA
AADSAS mail-out date: 08/02
Application complete date: 09/02
GPA (science, overall): 3.9+ & 3.9+
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 24/25/25/22/No

Looks like I'm going to be getting mostly post-December invites at this point...
 
When did you all receive U of Louisville's confirmation that they have received your app? I just got the e-mail today, but all my stuff was in months ago.. anyone else get this e-mail?

I paid their app fee last week and got an e-mail confirming receipt of payment on Tuesday.. no app complete e-mail yet!
 
I got my U of L confirmation back around July 21. I have not gotten an email from them recently other than the interview email. Not sure why they have taken so long to get back to you. Maybe email the admiss office and see what's up.

thanks a lot.. yeah i guess i'll have to investigate it.. maybe it was b/c i took my DAT early August.. I did send my fee in early July tho and e-mailed my DAT scores right after I took it..

yeah calm down lol.
He sent in his app on 09/2, got an interview on 09/5. They saw his app and invited in a blink of an eye.

Had my primary in 6/2 and I still haven't heard anything.

Yeah, ADEA Guide + SDN does that to you... Man I need to get off this site.

I spend more time here than I do in class and the time I put into doing work for the class :laugh:

Anyone know if Tufts or USC has sent out any interviews yet?

I've skimmed through most of the pages but there are like, 15 pages or something!

Which means only one thing....

Congrats on the 15pages worth of people getting interviews 👍

I looked through last cycle's thread, and Tufts didn't start handing out interviews until October 7th.

Notice the application complete date. Once schools take one look at his application, they'll be tripping over phone cords and cables offering him an interview.

unless those schools do rolling admissions, then he has to wait in line, theoretically.

Schools should only make you fill in their secondaries if they invite you for interview. I think only UK and Harvard does this. I would hate to spend so much time doing it only to be rejected without them even looking at it.

I think indiana does the same thing.
 
does anyone know if Boston is already done with sending out pre-dec interviews? According to predents, there are people with post Dec 1 interviews... 🙁
 
Got interview invitations to three dental schools: Creighton (Oct. 14), LECOM (Nov. 2), and NYU (Sept. 19)!

I would like to know this as well.

Applied to BU pretty early. 6/2 for primary, before July for secondary.

Haven't heard back yet either, anyone know regarding Pre-Dec 1 interviews?
 
Scratch that... was looking at the 2011 cycle when I asked my question. Silly me

I agreeee. It feels like Loma Linda stole my money and ran.
 
has anyone heard ANYTHING from Harvard at all? Like even a confirmation that your application has been received/processed?

best and first advice i give to predents: dont apply to loma linda unless ur SDA

I don't know about that advice about Loma Linda. I guess they must have missed that part in my application when I told them I wasn't a Seventh day Adventist before they invited me to interview :eyebrow:

They accept very few (like <10 or even <5) non-SDA 🙂 You are one of the special <5. You must have beautiful stats and/or a CA resident 🙂

if you are a SDA, your chance is 1 vs 3. If not, your chance is 1 vs at least 6.

If a SDA and non-SDA both have the same scores, SDA gets in. 😀

AADSAS mail-out date: 7/29, but they didn't send out LORs until 8/5
Application complete date: 8/31/11
GPA (science, overall): Science-3.74, Overall-3.80
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/any section below a 17): 19/19/18

I did get an e-mail saying Indiana isn't extending an interview invite. Is this basically an informal rejection, or is there still a chance I can get in without an interview?
 
I got an update from Temple on my AADSAS saying,
"The committee is currently reviewing your application. A final decision on your application will come no later than July."
Has anyone received this same message and if so what July are they referring to?

Yes, check back in the early 20s of this thread and you'll see a bunch of us had that posted on their AADSAS 2 or 3 weeks ago. I presume they mean July 2012 (crazy, I know).

Earlier in the thread someone received a rejection letter from a school right before/after they received an interview invite. Rejection letter was from 2011 cycle, interview for 2012. Wacky stuff can happen!

I remember calling them on the first of this month to see if they had received all of my application stuff, and they told me to check back at the end of the month as they hadn't really started going through anything yet.

So I don't expect to hear ANYTHING from Harvard for a while.
