I submitted on 6/5/11 and it was mailed out on 6/27/11. I am OOS but i did live just outside of memphis for 2 years in high school and my parents still live there.

I also got an interview at Univ Minnesota today!

Wow congrats on your first interview! We have VERY similar stats (except for PAT) and app complete dates so this could either be very exciting or very discouraging for me haha. But anyway, good luck to you!

Congrats! If you don't mind me asking, do you have competitive ECs? Many shadowing hours? ect?

My mailing date is just tad past yours, so I wanna see if lower-side GPA's like mine only get in with amazing non-academic stuff.

Amazing? No.
50 hrs shadowing
2 quarters microbiology research
job since 15
graduated in June
~200 hrs volunteering
couple leadership positions (student mentoring type things)

That pretty much sums it up! I'm not URM but I did complete the disadvantaged section on the basis of various socioeconomic factors.

Oh, and I put a LOT of thought/time into my PS.

I'm taking classes and working during my gap year to boost the sGPA. Here's hoping there's only ONE gap year!

I know what you mean about the gap year. I'm in the same situation. I guess we just have to keep busy huh? 🙂

Do I still have a chance? What can I do to improve my chances during continuing review? Should fly to Boston to meet with someone there?

Hi when were you notified of the columbia interview date?, and was 12/2 the earliest you could havE? In that case, i guess no pre-dec interview spot available for columbia... 🙁

yes there are no more pre-dec interviews

yes there are still some available 🙂 I just got an interview yesterday and its for mid November! Hang in there...they are coming

My only available options were October 25, November 14, and November 29...all tuesdays, so I would assume Tuesday only?

Umm you got application complete email before you even had your app "mailed out" Or was 7/9 when you completed the AADSAS app?

Employed part-time since age 15 (worked 20-25 hrs/week throughout undergrad)
Already Graduated -- all pre-reqs complete
Really made a case for myself in my personal statement

hmm, that's all I can think of.. working full-time now and taking 2 classes to boost my BCP gpa....
