to everyone out there,

if you don't hear back yesterday or today (about offer made, waitlisted or denied),
then what does it mean?
 
I was kind of wondering the same thing because I haven't heard from a few schools I interviewed at. I'm guessing we should keep our eyes peeled for mail they send. I also called but they said they don't give out your status over the phone. 😕

When you interviewed they gave you a special ID and password. You can find out your status on their special website. Good luck everyone!

Got my acceptance to MUSC today via ups express mail and got accepted to UK yesterday! So excited!! I am a second year applicant so for anybody who gets rejected this year keep trying, you will eventually get there. Don't give up!
 
UMD! Dec 1 9:04 am by email, then got home to find a thin large envelop! 😀 😀 😀

Just got a letter from Pittsburg... I am accepted. I have now been accepted to 5 dental schools!!! This is making my decision so incredibly hard. I really wish I only got accepted to my top choice even if it is the most expensive of the other choices. That way I will have no regrets!

Your a URM with great stats, no surprise here. You've worked hard, it's much deserved.

I was also accepted to Roseman. If I wasn't accepted to my state school, that's where I would be going.

Got accepted to Pitt and Midwestern (IL)

Excited about PITT... good school and loved it
 
YAYYY got my acceptance to Howard. Turned down my interview at Meharry (Jan 20) and still waiting to here from a few others but I really like Howard and look forward to being in DC! Congrats to everyone!!

I highly encourage everyone to withdraw acceptances from schools that they're no longer seriously considering. Don't just hold onto them to feel good for a month, or even worse, pay the deposits just cuz you have a couple of extra grands lying around.

I emailed Columbia and UCSF to withdraw today. Felt like a badass.

yes, please do. unlike undergrad if you're holding a seat you don't want you are ACTUALLY holding a seat from someone else since there is a limit on how many acceptances they can offer at a time.

Well, judging from his posts on this forum, a brick wall would probably have more of a personality. So he probably didn't blow anyone's socks off at the interviews.

Also, he's an international. That doesn't help his cause.

But he got in, and he's gonna be my future colleague. So congrats!
 
Got my UPenn packet today (mailing system is slow in my area right now). no scholarship though
 
wooooooo 2/2! just came back from an awesome 3 day company christmas party in Vegas, so I haven't been able to check the mail. I decide to call up admissions, and BAM, "you need to check your mail, because you got ACCEPTED to UNLV!!"

Vegas is so good to me 😍

Anyone else get an email from tufts? I just got this today.

"Thank you for your interest in Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.* Your application has undergone an initial review.* While impressed with your candidacy, the Admissions Committee would like to place your application on hold pending review of your fall 2011 semester grades.
*
As such, please have your official transcript forwarded to AADSAS during the Academic Update period this winter.* Your application will be reviewed again upon receipt of this update."

Im currently in a masters program. Does this seem like good news granted i do well this semester? Not sure what to make of it

I didn't get this from Tufts, but got this similar snail mail from Marquette.

Columbia for sure. However, both are great programs! The location + biomedical curriculum + lower cost are my deciding factors between the two. However, I can understand how this decision gets harder if you have the Dean's Scholarship from Penn.

What are you leaning towards?

I am also doing my master's but didn't get this e-mail. Have you already updated on AADSAS with the current classes you're taking?
 
Nope but i listed the classes i was taking wheni applied and they didnt change

I called in UNLV on December 1st, and they told me I am ACCEPTED !!! but I haven't gotten the snail mail they told me I'll get. Has they happened to anyone else? thank youu

Yeap.. only one acceptance so far... like Albino said, maybe I didn't knock my interviewer's socks off...
But, interview itself went pretty well except WesternU.
I know I totally messed up their interview
However, I am still happy because I have at least one acceptance. Pitt was actually my second top.
So far, I've been waitlisted the other 4 schools. So, hoping to hear from them soon.

random: it honestly looked like dr. meija signed my rejection letter personally....

which leads me to believe that there aren't many that went out :laugh:.......ahhhhhhhhhhhhh fml.
 
Are the schools allowed to tell you where you are on their waiting list? or is that sort of confidential?
I really want to find out if I still have a chance at UB but they said "Usually, alternates are not selected before the end of April and can be contacted as late as the first week of August" in the email I received today 🙁
I mean..REALLY?? I don't want to wait until AUGUST to find out!?! are you crazy???!!! 😡
 
Does anyone still have "invited for interview" on the portal and had a pre-december interview, but hasn't received snail mail from the school yet? A few of my schools didn't update online and I am trying to be patient and not call, especially because I don't think they will tell me my status over the phone, but its getting tough to wait!

I still have "invited for interview" on the portal and had a pre-december interview. I called the schools yesterday and found out two out of three of remaining interviewed schools haven't even review my application and come to a final decision. The last school put me in their "alternative list." I'm pretty pissed now, but will continue to wait. Note: Been accepted to two schools already.
 
Waitlisted at NYU. I wonder what number I am on the list.
 
Got a letter in the mail today for NYU...rejection.

Does anyone know anything about Maryland? I still have yet to hear from them.

The waitlist is not ranked, its at the admissions committee's discretion on whom to accept/reject. 🙁

What are your stats if you don't mind me asking? I'm on the same boat, zero interviews thus far..I'm thinking of retaking the DAT, it seems like there are so many steller DAT scores in the applicant pool. I'm also a re-applicant so it's extremely depressing..

Suck at life? Come on, don't be so extreme. I didn't get a single interview last year and applied to 19 schools! It's going a lot better for me this time around. I learned a ton from my mistakes and fortunately was given a year to figure a lot of things out.

Go be proactive. Start on your reapplication now instead of waiting till April.
 
I am a mid September applicant and have only heard from one school so far.

Does anybody know if they usually give interview invites in batches or is it continuous because I am about to go crazy?

Some schools do it in batches and others continuously.
