Also I looked at that forum you linked to. I have never seen a more abhorrent display of jejune hedonism, excessive self-aggrandizement, and sheer butchery of the English Language than I saw in that forum.

I've never gotten into foreign football much, since that would require actually having TV, actually knowing when the games are, and making up a fake loyalty...but I happen to live within walking distance of one of the top MLS teams, so I've been going to those games regularly and enjoying the hell out of it! I know US soccer isn't quite as 'good' as the rest of the world, but an in-person game with a ridiculously pumped fanbase and midfield seats (close enough to hear every word of the refs and players arguing) >>>>> a TV game that I forget about! Can't beat dollar dog days!
Besides, I know it's shallow, but it kills me that other countries don't really have team names beyond the city name.
