**Official University of Tennessee College of Dentistry Class of 2023 Interview/Acceptance Thread**

I got the call, IS, around 2pm yesterday from Dr. Covington. I am super excited to meet everyone! Someone should definitely start a Facebook page.
 
Congratulations to those who got in! To those who interviewed and haven't heard back... have you received any correspondence yet? My AADSAS is still just showing "Invited for Interview" so I don't know what that means since it appears the calls have been made.

I'm in the same boat as you. Status shows the "Invited for Interview", 21 AA 3.8 GPA, in state. Felt very good about my October 1 interview but I guess we'll just see what happens. You're not alone

You were not accepted and you were not denied. You're in limbo, just like before Dec. 3. That can change any time from now until class start
 
Does anyone know when they start sending out the letters to sign and mail them back

I'm a D1 here as well and I can honestly say that UTHSC has not only met my expectations, they have exceeded them. Everyone, despite the earlier comment, is very willing to help and each professor deeply invests in his/her students. We are being instructed in clinical excellence all while growing personally into this field that we love so much. Also, the people that I have gotten to know over these past months are some of the best out there; I would stand up for any one of them. If you have any additional questions regarding this school, please message me and I will give you an accurate depiction.

Thank you for this! It makes me more confident in choosing UT to spend the next four years at.
 
Maybe we can email Ms. Myers a link to the facebook page created and she can blast an email so that those accepted who don't use SDN can join? Other schools have around 70+ members already because admissions helped them reach out to everyone.
 
Does anyone know if our admission materials are being sent through usps? Or Fedex/UPS?
 
Just an update from someone who has not been accepted yet. I got an email yesterday about being on the wait list and that they would be accepting more people come January.
 
Those who sent in the commitment letter through email, did you receive the confirmation from Emily la rue by her saying "thank you"

I received my NetID at 4pm today. It's the same one I had at UT Knoxville
 
Has anyone tried to use the code on the for the background check? I am trying to use the one on the Office of Admissions Page and it is invalid. I just paid my deposit today and I was wondering if the deposit had to process first. Has anyone completed this step yet? Thanks!

I have the exact same question and do we get a notice if we receive like a confirmation that we paid our deposit?

Hey guys, I'm so sorry to say I've declined my acceptance to Tenn. The rest of you guys are going to have a great 4 years in Memphis. Thank you to everyone I met in town and everyone I interviewed with. I was really looking forward to attending

Waitlister here,

Has anyone heard anything thats waitlisted? I checked last cycle’s page, and the people had posted about not hearing anything until April. Congrats to those already in!

Congrats to everyone accepted! Is it safe to say if you haven't gotten an interview there will be no more for this cycle?
 
I interviewed late into fall and asked if they did interviews post Christmas and they said after December we’ll be done for the year — didn’t say cycle. But I haven’t heard of anyone getting interviews since before Christmas
 
Must of the remaining interviews will be Out of State students and possibly in state if someone turned down a seat
 
Just checked AADSAS and found that I have been rejected. No email letting me know so this could've happened in the last few days. Didn't interview. OOS. Best of luck to those still waiting to hear something.

Same thing happened to me. No contact from them whatsoever.
 
For the people that are on the waitlist, I was accepted off of it this past Wednesday (2/6). IS resident.
