Hey guys, I was complete at Ohio State a long time ago (like mid-August) and haven't heard a peep out of them. I am out of state...are they just taking long, or do they not tell you anything unless you're invited to interview?

I'm in the same boat. No change on my status page in some time.

So, is the status page supposed to say complete? Mine says secondary materials receieved. My latest message from them on the status page says "Your AMCAS and secondary applications have been received and your materials are being reviewed. Please be aware that we interview from mid-September through March. You will be notified in a timely manner whether or not you will be invited to interview." Am I cool or are they looking for more. I am out of state also. Thx.

you're cool, just sit back and wait 🙂 ....that's what my status says too.

That means you are complete. 👍 I had that message while I waited and I am out-of-state. Just had my interview on the 13th.

Ohio State doles out their interview invites based on GPA/MCAT score combination. The more qualified applicants (i.e., those with higher GPA/MCAT) will get interviews before the others. So when you were complete really has no bearing on when you receive the interview invite. Just be patient. You'll have your turn soon enough.

yeah my friend has a 3.7/30 from Cal and shes there for an interview right now. so unless your gpa and mcat combo are nice, then you will be waiting for a bit longer.

But I assume that very lopsided applicants aren't given interviews right away, if at all 😉

Hmmm...
you don't think that they lump your GPA and MCAT together in some sort of numerical way? Like converting to percentiles and averaging?
I am pretty lopsided-3.3 undergrad GPA, 3.5 graduate GPA, 38 MCAT. And do you think a tiny bit of non-traditionalism will matter? I got my BA in 2001, and have been working in a medical school research lab since then.

I have a 3.9 and a 31 and have yet to hear. My status page is the same it has been for more than a month. I'm not really worried but I'm also not sure if the combination gpa mcat thing is correct.
