Okami WW Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Ok, so @Truenamer and also to respond to @samac 's request for a simpler breakdown, the biggest one for me is the one I maybe overdramatically laid out over too many posts and screenshots, but that we have this timeline:

  • 8:26 you care react to zenge's post calling you a good egg
  • 8:27 you hmm react my post calling out zenge's post for potential pocketing. You also react to several posts responding to my vote and my responses to those responses.
  • 8:30 you enter just having caught up on wolf chat and risk a joke about it.
  • 8:32 you yeet zenge, spelling out that it was part of a thought process from reading the thread :"I was going to go for a salt yeet but after reading I have a better one: Yeet Zenge"
  • 8:58 you care react to zenge's truey pls.
  • 9:06 you say "don't worry i'm still in the lead" start to soften the impact of your vote
  • 9:08 zenge warns numbers is villains
  • 9:13 you say
    "Ah, missed Zuri's vote.

Eggcellent, pressure works better when there's real pressure."

Is it possible this is an honest sequence of events? yes. It would likely mean that when truenamer just kinda forgot about my vote when tallying after getting distracted with a meeting. But to me this (maybe egotistically) reads like a wolf realizing that the impulse misyeet train he decided to push after reading my post might actually have some traction and so if he's going to be able to look ok later he'll have to start softening how serious his involvement and insist it was all a reaction test vote and you didn't even realize that it put zenge in the lead....
Gonna ask you to think about the Occam's Razor on this one.

He was in my POE, but zuri is putting forth a massive effort that would surprise me from a first time wolf.

Not that I guess anyone else was really still wolf reading him.
I have paranoia concerns about TN, genny, SP, and Samac, in that order. But TN is a wide tier above, and genny and SP are much lower on the list. Samac is very bottom.

I think I need something distinct from POE, we could say I have two lists. A POE, and like, Cray's cray cray list. Call it the CCC. The hall of paranoia. I don't know, need something clever.

The paranoia concerns are in the case that we have things wrong and we need to start our list over and if it starts to look like sheeping dead D1 Zenge's reads aren't going to do it for us.

In this case I don't think I actually missed it, I just didn't remember that he'd voted for Zenge already when I was getting around to casting my vote.
ok i believe you not remembering the vote when you were responding to zenge about the tally, but you cast your vote 5 minutes after reacting to my post.

I think you think that reactions mean a lot more than they mean, especially since your vote was embedded.

I simply wasn't paying full attention.

Why is O2 not on this list if you’re voting for him?

Yeah gonna second it's important to have your wolf reads said and explained. Very rare exceptions to this rule exist.
ok well you've been my fairly obvious #2 and I think that there's just more evidence for true, but one of the things i was looking for was whether you'd jump in to defend truenamer here so thanks for that.

The part at 830 made me lol irl

I mean, it's a valid theory in terms of logic, I just don't know if TN would make a point like that to distance himself that could so easily be contradicted and seem to catch him in a lie, and that he would be 3D wolfing to that extreme. There are simpler ways for him to vote Zenge and try to manage his image.

Not reading you wolfy for floating the idea, but I'm also not adding it to my reasons I'm worried about TN is all.

Because your reaction to the vote close is that of a sad villager, not a defeated wolf
ok true another point i was more serious about making was why you immediately felt that Zenge was a villager after vote close? could you talk me through what about zenge's reaction to being yeeted immediately convinced you that zenge was not a wolf after holding onto your vote for him through lots of pressure because of "vibes?"

oh i like this one better.

His posts were dejected but trying to be helpful. He kept talking to us right until the point the thread was closed, clearly upset about his misyeet but trying to help village think about the right direction to go next.

It just didn't feel at all like the reaction of a caught wolf. And if you want an example of me quickly believing someone right after yeet close, I'd point you at basically every game I've been in. I do it almost every time, because it's how my brain works.

If people can't remember examples of times when I've reacted inappropriately quickly after a yeet close, I guess I can go look for them, but it's something I've done very, very often.

that does make sense!

Just for anyone remembering Zenge's help right after he was misyeeted here's a piece of that help:

It’s possible. One of those or Vis seems likely. But I’d probably vote true over Vis.

How is that defending TN? I'm agreeing with something he said that is considered good WW 101 quite literally.

His point being true has little to do with his Aff or mine.

When I'm wolf, in fact, I love making statements like that because it's easy to get villagers to agree with you. Which can then get them sus later.

So I would encourage you not to read too much into the fact I agreed with him here. Doing so did nothing to defend him or shade you. He may as well have said the sky is blue and I agreed. Does that mean we are working together?

Ya know what?
I think I want to blocc him

I’ll stay put. Truenamer is fren and I’ll only yeet him if WO2 is village
I do think WO2 is a wolf, but I don't know anyone's alignment for certain. Definitely not just going to roll over for a misyeet if I'm wrong about him, though at that point I'll probably deserve it.

If you want to set up reaction tests, it's better that the response you look for be something that people really will handle differently based on Aff.

Because if my reaction test amounts to, will Player A agree with Player B that the sky is blue, I think you're going to be very disappointed in the kind of results you get from that for finding wolves.

Although Fluff doesn’t look great either.

My order of yeeting out would be

Zuri
Woxy
True
Vis
Fluff
And to be clear I'm at the top of zenge's list in this time period, but looking at this from my own 2 eyes I know that :
I'm village (which I get no one else can take for granted and if woxy flips wolf that looks super bad for me and if more people move to true and true flips village I'm super yeeted and in that case would be obviously super wrong about everything and i would understand everyone not wanting to hear from me anymore)
then true, then vis who i iso'd and seemed fine to me (mostly b/c he was just following my logic so again this is another area where i'm biased) and fluff where i have no bias at all whatsoever how could i, but reads village to me.

And actually, why is samac on it?
My ccc list?

Notice the word cray cray cray is in it 3 times.

My main POE is WO, plus or minus Zuri and TN. I've been going a few rounds many times about those players being my POE. I've said I'm trying to blocc with AM and Samac. I even gave them total control of my vote not only on WO, but earlier voting Visc with AM.

But I reserve the right to question anyone at any time.
