Yeah, frankly tunneling can not only be effective, but surprisingly little work. You make less enemies on thread, which itself decreases work load, and by narrowing your focus overall it can be less work.

None of us are confirmed villager yet, I don't think any of us have that much hubris.

Only time I’ve been throwing down about is when people get sus of me and then I’m early on a wolf yeet
Then I shout at dubz to give me the keys.

But yeah, when I talk about the blocc it’s me trying to align with people I’m strongly village reading.

samac is a good player. You are a good player. I don’t care how good of a player someone is, it doesn’t make their opinions universally, unequivocally correct.

But this was not meant to turn into some stupid side argument. I just don’t enjoy when people act like god (my previous Jesus samac joke aside).

i understand where you're coming from, as a fellow player who often sits outside the accepted bloc. i do tend to just ignore it and think what i want though, and i think most other players here also have that same level of independent thought, no matter how big samac makes her capslock

The whole ~samac is the keeper of the bloc~ is annoying and comes across mega conceited. No one player is perfect nor should they act like it. This is something I’ve seen you improve on, which I am grateful for.

(It also brews up trouble if that person is a wolf, but that’s outside of my annoyance)

I forgot to ask, what does Truenamer mean?

It's the worst and greatest class in the 3.5 edition of Dungeons and Dragons.

Basically, it's a class that was added in a book late in the edition's lifespan, with two other classes. All three were attempts at introducing new magic systems to the game that didn't work like anything already in it. It has some really interesting, strange abilities that make it super fun (in concept), especially to people who've played too much D&D and wanted something fresh.

Except, the designers messed up. They designed the math of the class poorly, and it actually gets weaker as you level up. Like, it doesn't start out very strong, but by the middle of the game you'll struggle to affect anything at all without putting a ton of work into maximizing your character.

I love them.

So when I had to think of a name for my internet life, I picked Truenamer, because I think it's clean and evocative if you don't know the backstory, and a great in-joke if you do.

I just wanna be clear about my own personal usage of the word blocc
Cause I really do use it as just how my brain works and reads list work
I say blocc when I’m locking someone as village. It’s going to be hard pressed to get me to vote these people.
When I use block it’s people I village lean but am not comfortable locking in.

I guess I probably should have defined this at some point and don’t think I ever have. That’s my own fault.

I see no reason not to trust someone though that we seem to unanimously think is going to be N2'd. That makes her thoughts especially valuable knowing they're limited.

But we don't know that. In 10th Ann we stayed our hand with her a lot for the WIFOM. Not just that the WIFOM would get her misyeeted, but also to cast doubt on her reads and obscure our identities.

And it doesn't matter if the "blocc keepers" are actually villagers. This is the kind of thing where people talk about cliquishness and feeling left out.

You know, barring vote mechanics, WW is actually ran like a democracy. So one villager's vote doesn't really count more than another's. Acting like there's one villager in charge of all the rest is incredibly, like, insert an adjective but it's not fun for a lot of people and it isn't cool.

And this kind of thing, wolves can exploit it. What are the odds you think of an F3 with myself and Samac going super well where she and I have to vote with each other? This is why every villager actually matters. We don't fully control the village make up because wolves have their NK.

I don't realistically see an F3 scenario with samac alive. Not in a mountainous game. If wolves keep her alive, it's on their dollar, I guess.

Ninetails advances toward Amaterasu. The kitsune feels assured of its victory. Okami Amaterasu lay quietly, apparently peaceful, looking as though she were merely sleeping, not inches away from her death. Having deprived her of two of her brush techniques already, Ninetails is almost saddened. The battle is over so quickly, so easily, before it ever really began. No matter. Ninetails would end the goddess and take its rightful place as the Dark Lord of Ryoshima Coast.
Ninetails uses its perverted Dark Brush to summon shards of ice that shoot directly at Amaterasu. For a moment, they seem destined to strike their target, forever plunging the world into eternal darkness. At the last second, in the blink of an eye, they shatter, falling to the ground like harmless confetti. Ninetails jumps back, startled.
The goddess rises to her feet. Though shaken, her Celestial Brush, armed with several unfettered techniques, is still a match for the kitsune's. With a deep breath, Amaterasu bares her teeth.
This battle has not ended yet.

I do want to say though I’m not trying to be cliquish and leaving people out with the “blocc”
It’s just when I feel like I get a good beat on someone I can towncore them. I do do it more often with certain people. I feel like I can get a good beat on certain people more often than others. I’m picking up on being able to read some of the newer folks better.
But I find it harder to read cray consistently. When I figure out you’re wolfing it usually takes me a while.
Find it hard to read genny and sportsport.
And I just always find Visc sus.
It’s not exclusionary, it’s just being better at reading certain people.

Sorry dude, was def not trying to say that. The game if played hard is hard work. Just saying, that some people tunnel as wolves and even do ISOs, and some find that it can decrease the WW workload somewhat, compared to say, evaluating and reevaluating the entire roster and whatnot.
