OMS/MD residency worthwhile?

i was pondering going into dental school and specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery together with the MD tract, has anyone done or thought of doing this and whether this tract is very competitive and/or resources of information?

or should i just apply to reg medical school and specialize in oral surgery or another field of interest?

I don't know, but I think you should become a TMJD specialist. There aren't very many around🙁
