I already posted this on the rotation board, but in case people don't visit both boards. I was just wondering if anyone has any info on a quality OMT rotation. I was hoping to find a better way to get more clinical OMT experience, but I guess that a rotation will do. Please post if anyone is/has/or will be doing a rotation in OMT, and their comments about it(good/bad/whatever). Thanks for the help I truely appreciate it.
Thanks

Here is the link to the CCOM preceptors:

I rotated with Dr. Sandy Sleszynski in Kenosha, WI. She is an excellent Doc. She was trained in FP and now is all OMM. She has interests in natural/herbal meds/supplements. I was a little weary at first but she is very down to earth and technical in her application of OMT. She is Board Certified in Neuromuscular Medicine and is a table trainer for the cranial academy. She is also active reshearcher and is on the committe developing the new standardized forms for the OMT soap note and H&P. She has a very diverse patient load. She sees peds-adult and has several post trauma patients.

I am going back to work with her in May as an elective, so that should give her some merit. You can contact me via e-mail if you have more questions.

TCOM does a required one-month rotation in OMM. You could sign up as an elective from an outside school. First week is a focused review of all the techniques taught during the first two-years, the remainder of time is spent in the clinic and hospitals with different OMM attendings. There is also opportunities to spend time with PM&R docs.
