i'm too lazy to click the link, so i'll just say this - when i was waitlisted at 4 places last year, i wrote letters and updated my file. at my first choice school i wrote a letter like every month - and they were really well written, if i may say so myself. it didn't yield any results, and i have this feeling that the letters might have hurt me, but i feel a lot better knowing that i tried and actually did something. i think it would be eating me up even more had i done nothing, always thinking "what if i had just expressed some interest."
