Once you have been invited to an interview, does the school consider your stats anymore or is it just based on how well you did on the interview?
Of course. All things being equal, if they like two applicants equally and can't decide based purely on the interview, who do you think they'll pick? Also, good stats tend to give an interviewer a more favorable impression from the get-go, even before the interview starts.
The available evidence suggests that the interview is on par with science gpa in terms important in the selection process. These are followed by overall gpa and lors. The overall gpa and manual dexterity are quite a bit further down the list and are on equal footing, but the number of response on manual dexterity are slightly more than one half making the ranking pretty arbitrary.

hahaha, awfully specific assumption to make... and that link is vaguely related... posts like these are the problem with SDN in a nutshell... "the available evidence suggests"?? give me a break![]()
I think they are ready to accept you. Each school knows its own yield so depending on it they have to interview more people and offer appropriate number of acceptances. So for those who will be interviewed pre Dec but not hear good news on Dec 1 it is very important not to give up if it is your top choice school and follow up with new grades, extra LOE, extra shadowing, letter of interest and other updates to show school your interest.all good points. I was just thinking that maybe once you get invited for the interview, it means that they're ready to accept you, they just have to make sure you're not a coo-coo. But what you guys said makes sense.

I believe someone mentioned at Tufts interview feedback that while it is open file, interviewers have all your info but numbers so evaluation of interview itself is based purely on your discussion. I think most schools do open file interview but it is not clear if they eliminate grades out of it.good point. If I were an interviewer, seeing really good stats would put me in a good mood.
Some schools ignore stats after interview invites are sent out, I know Pitt does this.
