online bio130 course

i am planning on taking bio130 online course from CC next quarter. would the grade i receive from the class be added into science gpa? or do only p-req. courses count?

hopefully admin. won't laugh it off because it's an "online" course. 😕 what's your opinion?

and how exactly would they know it's an online course??? i have taken an online psychology course before and there is no indication that it is an online course on my transcript.

My question is how can you take an online Biology course?

I've taken online courses before, but never one with a lab.

It showed up on my transcript the same as all of my other courses.

I took both semesters of anatomy and physiology online. The labs were all software based and interactive. I'm not sure how your bio will be but this is how most science online courses I've heard of do their labs.

I specifically asked the dean of the dental school in Denver what he thought about online courses. He said (like UMDeeMan said) there is no way for them to know. Regarding classes with labs he said that he wouldn't recommend it simply because I would not receive the experience gained in a lab. My CC doesn't even offer a Bio 1 or 2 online, however, my wife will be taking college biology (that doesn't require any labs). Hope that helps a little bit...

Should be fine, whats bio130 and where are you taking it from? BTW, it's a science class.
