Has anyone had any experience with online science classes from Oregon State University? They have several...would love to hear about it and whether you were looked at differently in adcom (not sure how OSU lists these on their transcript).

I'm non trad, so online classes are just much more flexible to me - would love to hear specifically about OSU if possible.

While I don't know about OSU classes in specific, ad coms are completely fine today with a few online classes (take into account that many online classes cannot even be differentiated on transcripts and therefore not on AMCAS). That said, I'd avoid taking a whole swath of classes online (check out this article for some insight into entire degrees being taken online: https://www.usnews.com/education/on...ns-officers-think-of-online-bachelors-degrees)

It really depends on the medical schools you apply to. Some schools accept online coursework, but prefer students to take the lab portion in person. On the other hand some schools don't accept online coursework (if we're talking strictly prerequisite courses here).

I suggest you contact the schools you are interested in applying and make sure they accept online coursework before taking classes at OSU.

Like @acslater99 stated, it really depends on where you apply. If you want to pay the 25 bucks, you should look into MSAR (Medical School Admission Requirements) on the AAMC website. If you go to a schools page and scroll almost all the way down you'll see their preferences for online classes. I personally have taken a few in community college, but I'm not sure I would in my upper division courses.
