For schools that state that a photo is optional, does it really matter if we send a pic or not? Did you guys include one and what were your reasons for including one or not including one?

I think the rule is if you're good looking than you should send a photo.
😀

if you don't send the photo, they'll simply assume you're ugly

Serious question now... I know this has been asked before but should we look professional in our photos since we're applying to a professional school?

Thanks!

I was wondering that too... I didn't dress up for the pic I gave the school at my first interview, but I did wear a nice "polo like" shirt. I also made sure I had a nice, friendly smile. 🙂

I honestly don't think it matters though. Wear whatever you think you look best in and brings out your personality (while not looking like a complete slob). All they really want is a memory jog when they look through your file later. I just want my interviewers to be..."Yeah! I remember that guy. What a friendly chap! It sure would be nice to have him at our school."

yes. It probably wouldn't be the best idea to send the picture of you and your buddies from that one night you got wasted and danced with your top off for several hours, especially if the people reviewing your app are all women!

Does the photo have to be just of your head, like a passport photo? I was thinking of getting the $7 picture package from Walmart that includes about 32 wallets, but don't know if the pose would be wrong or if the pictures would be too big. Any ideas?

this is a hypothetical situation....let's say a certain individual is good-looking but has not so great stats, could their looks be used against them because of stereotypes about good-looking people?

I will selflessly offer my services as a photo inspector.

"Ladies, are you concerned that you are too hot to send the optional photo for fear of being steretyped. Send your picture and phone number to me for professional evaluation."

please send pictures to [email protected]

No sausages please.

personally, i went to costco, got two passport photos. then took those to cvs/sav-on drugs and used that instaphotomaker machine. it's a scanner that makes 16 of ur photos for 7 bucks. it looks just like the real one also....almost.
