Hey,

So I took the whole year of organic chem, 4 credits 1st semester, 4 credits 2nd semester. Only the first semester had a lab portion. Do I need to take the 3 credit analysis lab that's only offered in the summer? Or will the 8 credits be enough?

Thanks

your school doesn't offer organic lab 2? I've read on some schools that they'll accept a biochem lab and lecture for organic chem II and lab, but i think its school specific

it's school specific.
check with your advisor.

They just offer a qualitative analysis lab in the summer. No biochem lab either, it's wahington state university.

My advisor didn't know. My main concern is that every school does have different requirements, and I'll be applying broadly. However, I don't want to waste $1300 and my summer if I don't need the lab...

id like to know as well

A lot of med school websites say for requirements, "Organic Chemistry, one year with lab." It doesn't say with "labs." This is open to interpretation. A call to a school where it isn't clear would determine the true expectation. Make clear that your school doesn't offer a second lab, as this could be a basis for a waiver.
