Thought about posting this in the mcat forum, but it's more of a class question.

Anyone have experience using mcat review books to prepare for the acs organic exam? Would review books cover too much or too little to be of use, or would you say they're such different animals you can't really compare?

An MCAT book would cover too little, even the older guides like EK that still touch on aromatics.

The ACS itself sells study guides to their tests (much like an arms dealer selling to both sides of a conflict), and their guides are high quality and have many pages of questions in the exact style as the exam itself.

I don't know why, but ordering ACS study guides directly from ACS is generally cheaper than ordering them from Amazon. ~$20 if I remember correctly.

Don't use MCAT prep for ACS. Question formats are very different, and ACS goes into much more specific details.

Prep for ACS with the ACS book.
That's all.
Gather supplementary info from textbook or websites.
