How do you convert a newman into a fischer? FYI its question 65 in 2008 version of destroyer.

The front part of the Newman just draw exactly the way it looks using Fisher. The top goes on top and left and right go on the left and the right respectively. Thats the top part of the fisher. The bottom part of the fisher is the back of the newman. For the back one you need to switch the left and right around. So the bottom goes on bottom, and the back left goes on the right in the fisher and the back right goes on the left.

Holler if its still confusing

Ok, so when looking at the newman projection the front carbon is drawn exactly to figure, now for the back carbon of the newman your going to switch around both left an right substituents, an leave the bottom substituent as is?

Correct. Remember, the Front part of the newman will become the top of the fisher and the back part of the newman will become the bottom of the fisher. However what you said on top is correct.
