Can someone teach me:

1. mass spectroscopy. how to interpret m/z ?
2. gas chromatography. pls explain that aamc 7 q (45, 3,0.5, 0.5% hills)
3. any other IRs to know besides OH 3300 and C=O 1700?

Very quickly...
1) Highest peak represents molecular weight of molecule in question. After that you get peaks that should be slightly higher (+2 is common), these come from isotopes (for instance +2 is from C14). You'll also have some peaks that result from the molecule falling about (a common peak is from the COOH group falling off of a benzene)
2) Good question, i dont know jack about gas spect
3)
OH 3100-3500(Broad)
Acidic OH 3100-3500(Broadest)
Amine-3100-3500 (Sharp)
