guys i know it will sound dumb but i just wanna know whats the difference between allopathic and osteopathic? what do they mean?
also what are MD and DO schools?

Do a search- it's been discussed ad-nauseum in pre-allo/pre-osteo.

No one need answer this question. OP use wikipedia or the search key. We have a DO vs MD thread every week or so...

A DO is like an MD who has additional training in OMM (a muskuloskeletal treatment modality, think chiropractor).

Prejudice against DOs because their schools' students have lower average GPAs/MCAT scores is not even in the same ballpark as racism.

Seconded. The accusation to those who advocate going to MD schools that they are racist does not make any sense at all.

Shame.

you clearly did not understand the post

the two are similar in that they both make ridiculous claims based on superficial differences

don't jump to conclusions so quickly

Ha, just noticed that. My bad.

My naivety got the best of me.

Also, you will piss off the DOs who defend OMM if you equate it to chiropracty.

loooool i didnt know the topic was that interesting!! but i still dont find any big difference..

Pleeeeeease stop responding to these posts. Let those interested use the search function or do some research themselves. We just finished a DO vs MD thread that was like 8 pages long...

u simply dont have to read it!! is that a sensitive political topic or what?

Us future DO's are also interested in the ancient practice of voodoo and the sprinkling of fairy dust for methods of sedation

Can a DO become a cardiologist?

Can a DO become a cardiologist?

Yes, but DO's are required to do a witchcraft/raindance internship before they can go into a speciality track like cardiology. Aside from internship years, DO's will periodically be tested on their knowledge of pagan worship and vodoo chantings.

can't DOs also do a feng shui fellowship?

And we don't call them cardiologists. We call them 'Eros' which means greek god of heart and soul

You are all mean-spirited liars! DOs, don't have to do any witchcraft/rain dance stuff or anything like that. They just have to spend two summers with a shaman before writing a research paper to be published in the new Kevin Trudeau book.

Laugh ...

These get better every time ... and by every time I mean, weekly.
