Phange, we are in the same boat. It would have been nice to have the option for OU or OSU but it is a relief that I, as well as you, will not have to choose between the two. I also felt similar about OSU and sent them a letter of intent to express my desire to attend the school. I hope you get a positive result from your interview. I have been on the waitlist since November and ready to be off for sure. I spoke with Lindsey yesterday and she told me that they have one more interview day later in March and that is the last.

Same here. I guess all I can do is hope for the best! Being rejected from OU certainly has me down, but the place I really want to go is stilldeciding. They said we'd find out within two weeks; it's been one week since my interview so hopefully they meet the goal!

At least you get to find out soon. I had mine on the 19th and they said 2 weeks and I guess they are going to consider both interview weeks and decide from there. At least I will be busy with a Physiology test next week so I won't be staring at my phone that much haha. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best as well.

I just talked to Lindsey and I asked about adcom meeting times and she said that they have meet this week but have not made any decisions yet. They are supposed to meet sometime early next week (From what she said maybe Mon or Tues) to decide but then they might not start calling until Thurs, Fri, or even the following Monday. For those that interviewed on the 19th she said she was sorry because it is going to be longer than the expected 2 weeks. Also, the decisions will be for the last 2 interview dates (so I interviewed the 19th and the following week) so that may be the reason for the delay. So basically more waiting. Sorry yall at least we can kinda expect when the phone might ring.

I was hoping for some feedback..

I applied to OSU super-late, as I didn't know the Navy would allow me until November.

I submitted the secondary yesterday, as I had to wait for the 29JAN MCAT scores to be available. I was wondering...does anyone have any idea what the possibility of acceptance is this late in the game?

Stats:
-Non-traditional applicant (Navy Officer)
-33P MCAT
-3.49 GPA (Aerospace Engineering, USNA)
-EMT

I appreciate your help--this process is crazy!

great stats and your interview either this year or next will be a breeze. only problem is they know navy officers are lazy (just kidding). call the school the admissions staff are very friendly and will let you know where you stand.

thanks--my big issue is that this is the only window ive been given...if I don't get accepted this round, its back to the fleet for four years.

everything i've read about OSU sounds fantastic. I hope I get the opportunity to matriculate this summer!

I turned in my primary in oct and mailed my secondary I think around new years eve. I got an email the 5th saying I was complete and had a voicemail from Sarah Quinten on Friday the 8th but had to wait to Monday to call her back. She offered me an interview for Jan 27 or 28. I picked the 28 but due to the storm everyone that day was resched. to feb 4. I got a waitlist letter the following wed or thurs.

Thanks for the reply. sounds like you also got a fast response. I turned my secondary 2 1/2 weeks ago and just barely got an email saying my app is complete. Phange, you also got a fast response. I'll keep crossing my fingers. OSU is my first choice. good luck guys!

After the way I've been treated by OU over the last four years, I can say without a doubt that I will never apply to them again. OSU is so honest, caring, and genuinely sincere about their students (and primary care) that I'm completely sold on their program.

You have awesome awesome stats! I agree with saylorsdad. I would def call because the actual deadline for secondaries was on the 1st of March.... i'm still waiting to see if I got an interview and am getting a little worried because they said they interview until about mid march. This was said through my email which said my application was complete (Monday). If you read earlier in the thread, there are those who interviewed and mentioned that OSU actually told them they interviewed until the last week of March. So.....I guess we will have to and keep our heads up. Good luck to you!

I'm aware of what thread I'm in. i must be mistaken for the other "OU" medical school in Oklahoma....This is a discussion about ostepathic school and I am thinking "OU-COM" which is the DO school is OH. I probably mixed the 2! either way, I know I'm in the OSU-COM thread, i'm still waiting on their reply Lol but thanks for mentioning because i obviously missed something, now i feel silly.....

Early February, but honestly after I interviewed with OSU I'll never go back to OU. OSU was so nice and so sincere, and I'm completely sold on the DO mindset.

That is not cool!! It could be a good sign though. They called me on a Thursday at like 4:30 or so, just as I was parking to go tailgate for an OSU football game. It was great timing.

Oh man you have no idea. As a student of the OU College of Public Health (at the Health Science Center) I get mail from them all the time. Last year I was on the OU College of Medicine waitlist and every week I'd get a giant packet in the mail from OUHSC's Office of Admissions and Records. It was always some silly packet from the College of Public Health. Drove me NUTS!

In any case, I just got an email reply from Sarah Quinten saying that the decisions were finalized today and that calls will be going out tomorrow and Friday. I'd assume letters as well.

I reiterate my old comment: it is so much easier waiting for a letter than a phone call. At least the letter is either "there" or "not there" when the mail comes. There's no indication when phone calls begin / end or how long they last.

And good luck on your test. In my undergraduate, Microbial Physiology was easily my hardest class.
