OT: Anyone in med school play poker?

Sorry this is a bit off of the topic, but I have a quick question. I will be an MS1 next year (most likely at NYU, but I am holding out hope for Yale....but thats another story). I have been really into poker for the last few years (yes, even before it got huge on TV, etc.), and i enjoy playing. Here at my undergrad, I have been able to get a group of people together, and we are able to play on a regular basis. I was just wondering if anyone here knew of similar minded people in med school, because I would like to find a game every once an awhile. Any insight would be helpful...thanks.

I don't think you'll have any trouble finding a regular game.

Yeah, definately no problem getting a game together. I am a first year and play at least one night a week. Espicially if your game of choice is texas hold 'em, you should have no problem getting a game together. After the whole tv explosion, it seems like everyone and their mom (my mom loves it) plays.

If you do go to NYU there are tons of undergroud poker houses throughout the city (5 boroughs). I play at a poker house not to far from NYU. If you want when you settle in to NY (if your not here already) I'll bring you in. They have good hours during the week and open 24 hours during the weekend.

yeah, I'm an MS IV and we've had a regular game (once a week) for at least 2 years now....lately we've had 2 bachelor parties at casinos where we could play poker too. It's a good way to just chill with the guys once a week without having to go to a bar and spend a fortune.
